To do this, we have developed an injectable gel that allows plastic surgeons to reliably build new tissue using a patient’s own fat.
Job Description:
As part of this rapidly growing biotech, we are hiring a research technician to aid in experiments with a focus on bacterial cultivation and protein extraction/purification.
Responsibilities
- Prepare buffers and media for experimental use
- Conduct bacterial cultivations in flask and bench scale, form 50ml to 3L, including bioreactor setup/takedown and sample preparation
- Perform protein isolation and purification
- Assist with general lab organization and record keeping
- Deliver scientific data effectively, both in written and oral formats
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- BS or greater in biotechnology, cell biology, biomedical engineering, or related field.
- 2 years of research experience
- Experience with bacterial fermentations and/or protein purification
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to follow complex operating procedures with attention to detail
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with biomolecular techniques
- Experience with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP).
