JOB SUMMARY:
The State Regulatory Intern will support UPL’s US State Regulatory team in maintaining accurate product registration data and ensuring compliance with state-level regulations. This internship offers hands-on experience with regulatory systems, processes, data management, and cross-functional collaboration, contributing directly to operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
JOB RESPONSIBILITES:
- Assist in draft and submission of product label amendments to the states
- File state-specific correspondences & confirmations received
- Update approval dates in internal tracking database
- Monitor new product submissions
- Organize federal documents within the SharePoint structure & utilize Smartsheet tool
- Review SAP product data to identify and highlight necessary updates, such as:
- Ensuring states are listed under the correct SKU based on renewal dates.
- Verifying state certificates.
- Identifying outdated SKUs for removal.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement projects within North America Regulatory team
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Regulatory Affairs, Environmental Science, Agriculture, Chemistry, or Biological Sciences related field graduating after August 2026
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and data management tools.
- Interest in regulatory compliance and agricultural product registration.
- Note, this internship is office based at UPL’s OpenAg Center in RTP, Durham with expectation of 5 days in office. Requests for hybrid model of 4 days in office & 1 day from home will be considered on case basis but is not guaranteed.
