DESCRIPTION:
Join our EHS team at Thermo Fisher Scientific and contribute to ensuring workplace safety and environmental compliance. As an EHS Specialist I, you'll collaborate with leadership to support our Safety-First culture and protect our workforce. You'll conduct hazard assessments, implement safety programs, and provide expert guidance on environmental health and safety matters. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by creating and maintaining a healthy, safe working environment while supporting our mission of enabling customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Emergency Services / Administrative knowledge
• Strong knowledge of EHS regulations, standards and best practices (OSHA, GHS, NFPA)
• Experience conducting workplace safety inspections and hazard assessments
• Ability to develop and deliver Emergency Services training programs
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Experience with incident investigation and root cause analysis
• Fluent in English; additional language skills beneficial
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence through collaboration
• Demonstrated commitment to safety culture and continuous improvement
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a deadline-oriented environment
• Willingness to wear required PPE and work in various environmental conditions
