Job Description

Position Summary:

We are seeking a driven, curious, and collaborative Molecular Biologist - Assay Development to join our growing Research & Development team. This role is ideal for someone excited to turn sophisticated data into real-world solutions.

You will own the development of molecular assays and integrate wet-lab and computational approaches to uncover insights that drive discovery and innovation. Your work will directly support biomarker identification, diagnostics, and translational research programs.

Location: West Hills, CA. Relocation assistance is NOT provided.

What You’ll Do:

  • Build, develop, and optimize molecular assays across omics platforms, including NGS, qPCR, RNA-seq, and proteomics (e.g., mass spectrometry or sequencing-based methods).

  • Analyze high-throughput omics data to support product development, biomarker discovery, and research initiatives.

  • Integrate multi-omics datasets to understand biological systems and discover new pathways or targets.

  • Build and maintain bioinformatics pipelines using tools such as Python, R, or other relevant programming languages.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners in assay development, computational biology, and clinical research to accelerate innovation.

  • Document methods and results clearly, ensuring data quality and alignment with regulatory standards.

  • Present findings to internal teams and contribute to publications, reports, and partnerships.

What You Bring:

  • M.Sc. in Molecular Biology, Genomics, Bioinformatics, Biochemistry, or a related field with 3+ years of hands-on experience. OR Ph.D in Molecular Biology, Genomics, Bioinformatics, Biochemistry, or a related field.

  • Proven experience with multi-omics techniques (e.g., NGS, RNA-seq, proteomics, or transcriptomics workflows).

  • Strong background in product development, including optimization and validation for research or clinical applications.

  • Proficiency in analyzing omics data using bioinformatics tools and statistical methods.

  • Coding experience and ability to build or manage data workflows.

  • Extract actionable insights from large biological datasets.

  • Strong attention to detail, critical thinking skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

  • Comfortable managing multiple projects and prioritizing effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

  • Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check, which includes a drug screening.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $91,700.00–$137,500.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
