Summarized Purpose:
Performs complex financial analysis and creates accurate, transparent and timely reports to support leadership in the decision making process. Leads processes or optimizes systems for accounting, planning and reporting.
We are currently hiring for Sr. Financial Analysts and Principal Financial Analysts. Job leveling to be determined based on qualifications and experience.
Preference may be given to candidates located in Wilmington (NC), Morrisville (NC), or Waltham (MA).
Essential Functions:
• Collects, analyzes and interprets complex financial and operating data for business units and/or corporate functions.
• Provides sophisticated decision support to business leadership through the creation and enhancement of decision tools, models, presentations, and dashboards.
• Prepares reports and analyses in support of monthly, quarterly and annual financial close processes and ongoing financial activities.
• Leads the forecasting and budgeting processes for assigned business units and/or functional areas.
• Collaborates with department, operational management and cross-functional teams to identify problems and develop solutions.
• Makes recommendations on system and process improvements to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
• May conduct peer reviews of work to ensure quality standards are met. t

Job Knowledge:
A seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of area of specialization; resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways. This job is the fully qualified, career-oriented, journey-level position.
Supervision Received:
Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
Business Relationships:
Represents the department as a prime contact on projects. Interacts with internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between functional areas. Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
• All levels: Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification
• Sr. Financial Analyst: Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 5+ years).
• Principal Financial Analyst: Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 8+ years).
Progressive and/or more extensive job duties and responsibilities may be expected with increasing job leveling.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Demonstrated project leadership and consultancy skills with ability to function as an effective and respected partner to internal clients
• Strong knowledge of accounting/financial principles, best practices, and regulations/legal requirements
• Ability to apply advanced knowledge, skills, and expertise to analysis
• Good business acumen with ability to understand complex organizational structures and environments
• Excellent analytical and quantitative skills
• Advanced level of skill in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for analysis and presentation of data • Ability to work with ambiguity and complexity
• Demonstrates executive presence and good presentation skills
• Ability to influence at all levels of the organization
• Ability to balance and deliver against competing demands
Salary Transparency
This is a salaried role that will also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. Compensation will be initially discussed during the screening period, with actual compensation confirmed in writing at the time of offer.
