Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance, Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards, Cleanroom: no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, facial hair etc... allowed, Laboratory Setting, Loud Noises (Equipment/Machinery), No contact lens allowed; prescriptive glasses will be provided, Office, Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.), Working at heights

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Schedule all calibrations and related maintenance activities, including vendor calibrations.
  • Modify performance and operation of component parts and circuitry to specifications.
  • Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and technical workers for equipment installation and maintenance.
  • Specify and purchase appropriate test equipment and supplies.
  • Analyze and convert test data, using mathematical formulas, and report results.
  • Conduct training on SOP’s and work instructions.
  • Negotiate with outside contractors for calibration and instrumentation repair services.
  • Assist in plant audits by internal and external firms, including the FDA.
  • Operate the building environmental monitoring system and use computerized CMMS for documentation.
  • Diagnose and solve faulty instrumentation and assist in repairs.

Qualifications

  • Required Education: High School Diploma or GED
  • A.A.S Degree in Instrumentation, Electronics, or Process Control Engineering is helpful.
  • 5 years of related experience, with at least 3 years in a GMP regulated bio/pharmaceutical facility.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical documents.
  • Strong mathematical skills, including knowledge of algebra and calculus.
  • Ability to use calibration test equipment for various instruments.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and ability to draw valid conclusions.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Maximo CMMS, and other relevant applications.

REASONING ABILITY:

  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
  • Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The employee is regularly required to stand, walk and use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools and controls. The employee may occasionally be required to and lift/carry up to 50 pounds on a regular basis during routine scale calibrations. Close vision and the ability to adjust focus are required
