Job Summary:
The Senior Manager for Instructional Design and Adult Learning will significantly contribute to the development and delivery of engaging and effective GMP-related training programs, promoting active learning and supporting employees in performing their jobs efficiently. This role will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality and impact of learning programs for adult learners within the PSG Global Quality team, driving continuous improvement and innovation in instructional design and training methodologies.
The successful candidate will collaborate with colleagues across various sites and divisions globally to design and implement effective GMP-related learning programs.
What Will You Do?
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborative Needs Assessment: Work closely with process owners, expert contributors, and team members to identify clear learning needs and objectives.
- Instructional Design Excellence: Apply advanced instructional design principles and methodologies to structure and coordinate content efficiently.
- LMS Management: Support assignment and curricula management in the Learning Management System (LMS).
- Innovative Training Solutions: Select and implement appropriate training solutions using innovative instructional technologies and multimedia tools.
- Enhanced Learning Experiences: Improve classroom offerings, videos, and tools for both virtual and face-to-face experiences.
- High-Quality Training Delivery: Deliver training sessions, setting high standards for instructor-led training.
- User-Centric Development: Ensure strong user involvement in developing solutions and create learner-centered experiences.
- Program Evaluation: Evaluate the effectiveness of programs through data analysis, surveys, feedback, and assessment data.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with current trends and research in adult learning and instructional design.
- Project Leadership: Lead training development projects and source external vendors as required.
- Compliance Support: Support internal/external site audits and inspections as needed.
How Will You Get Here:
Education:
- Degree in a pharmaceutical-based field or related sciences, engineering, technology, or equivalent.
- 7+ years in instructional design, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role
Competencies:
- Proficiency in using various learning technologies and authoring tools (e.g., Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate).
- Skills in gamification and scenario learning design
- Strong project management skills, including planning, execution, and monitoring
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to establish relationships and collaborate effectively
- Ability to work independently, setting timelines to meet deadlines.
