Overview
In this role, you will lead Target RWE’s Quantitative Sciences organization, setting the vision for rigorous, reliable, and regulatory-grade retrospective and prospective real-world evidence generation. You will be accountable for scientific integrity, quantitative strategy, and the development of scalable analytic and validation frameworks that enable our data to improve patient outcomes across life sciences, regulatory, and academic applications.
You will build and mentor a high-performing team of quantitative scientists, develop and communicate scientific standards, and represent Target RWE’s evidence generation capabilities to clients, collaborators, and regulatory partners. You will partner closely with Product, Data Engineering, Clinical Operations, Medical Science, and Commercial teams to drive innovation and ensure our analytics and data assets anticipate customer needs and market expectations.
What You’ll Do
1. Scientific Leadership and Data Strategy
You will define and drive Target RWE’s quantitative and evidence-generation strategy.
- Serve as the scientific owner of Target’s data assets and analytic frameworks
- Establish standards for data validation, methodology, reproducibility, and statistical rigor
- Develop scalable systems for data quality, curation, and “fitness-for-use” demonstrability
- Champion regulatory-readiness and scientific credibility of Target’s data across audiences
- Prioritize investments in analytic infrastructure, tooling, and methodology development
2. Analytical Excellence and Product Enablement
You will create a world-class ecosystem for reliable, transparent real-world evidence generation.
- Oversee study design, statistical analysis plans, and analytic frameworks
- Guide development of reusable analytic modules and workflows across therapeutic areas
- Review and approve high-stakes analyses, publications, and client deliverables
- Translate analytic learnings into product features that enhance value and scalability
- Ensure alignment with regulatory expectations and evolving RWE best practices
3. Team Development and Organizational Influence
You will build, mentor, and empower a high-impact Quantitative Sciences team.
- Lead, grow, and develop a multidisciplinary team of quantitative scientists, including epidemiology, biostatistics, outcomes research, and clinical trials
- Establish a culture of scientific rigor, accountability, and collaboration
- Drive career paths, resourcing, hiring, and prioritization across a dynamic pipeline
- Partner across Target RWE to ensure Quantitative Sciences is embedded in strategy, delivery, and client success
4. External Representation and Thought Leadership
You will elevate Target RWE’s scientific reputation.
- Serve as a strategic scientific leader in client engagements and partnerships
- Represent Target RWE in regulatory interactions, scientific forums, and publications
- Cultivate academic, industry, and regulatory collaborations that advance scientific impact
- Communicate the value, quality, and representativeness of Target’s data through clear narratives and compelling evidence
What You’ll Bring
- Advanced degree (PhD preferred) in biostatistics, epidemiology, health economics, bioinformatics, data science, or a related quantitative field
- 15+ years experience generating real-world evidence or clinical research insights, with demonstrated success leading scientific functions
- Demonstrated expertise in statistical methodology, reproducible analytic frameworks, and regulatory-grade evidence generation
- Proven ability to translate scientific objectives into scalable products, processes, and operational strategies
- Exceptional communication skills, with experience presenting to executive, scientific, and regulatory stakeholders
- Track record of mentoring and elevating high-performing teams
