Job Responsibilities
Job Summary
The Associate Director, Market Research supports the Customer Experience strategy and operations by contributing to the design, development, execution and analysis of primary market research programs across Syneos Health. This role helps translate customer feedback into actionable insights and supports efforts to align customer needs with delivery approaches that enhance the overall customer experience.
Responsibilities
Support end-to-end primary market research initiatives (qualitative and quantitative), including quarterly insight updates and data-driven action planning, to inform business strategy and enhance the customer experience across Syneos Health.
Contribute analytical support to the Relationship Program across key strategic accounts by delivering customized insights that inform action plans, strengthen customer engagement, and foster client advocacy.
Develop tailored insights and assist in creating targeted measurement frameworks aligned with Business Unit objectives to enable performance tracking and strategic decision-making.
Monitor and report on account health metrics to identify risk indicators and support the development of mitigation strategies based on project-level data.
Collaborate with the Business Insights team to incorporate competitive intelligence, market trends, and key learnings into actionable recommendations.
Contribute to the execution and analysis of the annual Customer Satisfaction study, synthesizing feedback to help identify high-level customer needs.
Partner with Marketing to support the evaluation and reporting of Brand Health and Brand Equity metrics that inform strategic positioning.
Qualifications
4 year / Bachelors Degree, BA/BS in business, marketing, market research or related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience plus progressive management experience in marketing, market research; graduate degree in Business a plus.
Experience supporting cross-functional teams including Sales, Sales Operations, Sales Enablement, Marketing, and other revenue-generating functions
Professional presence with strong communication and collaboration skills
Solid understanding of market research methodologies, analytics, statistics and design
Strong report-writing skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights and communicate findings through concise, compelling narratives
Proficiency with the Qualtrics XM Platform for data collection, analysis, and reporting
Ability to quickly learn, adapt, and contribute in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Experience working within complex, matrixed organizations and building productive relationships across levels
Skilled at managing multiple priorities and delivering high-quality work under tight timelines
Comfort navigating ambiguity and providing thoughtful recommendations with limited direction
Ability to travel at least 10% of the time for internal meeting or ad hoc requests
Experience in the CRO or pharmaceutical industry preferred
Critical Skills
Strong foundation in primary market research (qualitative and quantitative), with analytical and statistical fluency
Proficiency with the Qualtrics XM Platform for survey design, data collection, and insight generation
Ability to distill complex data into clear, actionable insights and communicate findings through well-structured reports and presentations
Business-oriented thinking, with a focus on aligning research outputs to strategic objectives and customer experience goals
Strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills, with experience supporting cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Operations)
Highly organized and adaptable, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and contribute effectively in a dynamic environment

Salary Range:
$97,300.00 - $170,300.00The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role.
