To support its strong growth in North America, Stem Genomics Inc. is creating a Laboratory Technician position to support its testing platform in the Raleigh-Durham Research Triangle.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Rapidly operational, you will process client samples, run molecular biology tests, analyze results for clients, and participate in answering our clients' questions. Responsibilities include:
- Execute company SOPs to process client samples
- Perform laboratory experiments
- Prepare reagents and solutions
- Maintain and clean the laboratory environment/equipment
- Follow procedures in place to guarantee uninterrupted service
- Organize and maintain stocks of reagents and consumables
- Receive shipments of client samples
- Analyze test results and generate result reports for clients
- Complete daily quality control documents
- Be meticulous in documentation of all work performed
- Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action
- Work with the R&D and Sales teams to answer customers' questions
JOB REQUIREMENTS
0-1 years of experience in related laboratory work
Some experience in the proper use of biology laboratory equipment
Skills in molecular biology
Speaking French would be a plus.
Thoroughness, high attention to detail, critical thinking and initiative, ability to work as part of a team.
EDUCATION
Bachelor of Science degree in Biology or similar scientific discipline required
