Job Description

Solvias is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounting Clerk to support our financial operations in the United States. This fully onsite role, based in Research Triangle Park, NC, is essential to maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring smooth day-to-day accounting processes across our analytical services portfolio, including Biologics, Cell & Gene Therapy, and Small Molecule platforms. While the position will support our entire U.S. footprint, only light travel is required.

The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks including payroll, data entry, invoice processing, account reconciliations, and assisting with month-end close activities. This role will work closely with the finance teammates to ensure compliance with internal controls and support timely and accurate financial reporting.

  • Ensure all financial data is entered and maintained with precision to support reliable reporting and compliance.
  • Adhere to internal controls, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements to maintain financial integrity.
  • Support the finance team and work cross functionally to resolve issues and support financial transparency.
  • Verify, process, and record vendor invoices, ensuring they match purchase orders and receipts, or have appropriate approvals for payment
  • Work with Purchasing to resolve vendor invoicing discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Communicate with vendors to resolve payment-related concerns efficiently
  • Reconcile employee expense reports in accordance with corporate policies
  • Issue accurate customer invoices, working closely with Operational departments to ensure accuracy and timeliness of billing and revenue recognition
  • Manage the receipt of payments, ensuring customer accounts are maintained accurately
  • Communicate with clients regarding outstanding invoices, payment issues, and account status
  • and employee expense reimbursements
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date financial documentation
  • Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
  • Monitor and follow up on outstanding invoices and payments
  • Assist with internal and external audits by preparing documentation and reports
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
  • Collaborate with finance and operations teams to resolve discrepancies and improve processe

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
  • 3+ years of progressive experience in finance.
  • Experience managing multi-entity financial operations and payroll in the US.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and tools (e.g., ERP systems, Excel, Power BI).
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Other Desired Skills/Abilities

  • Experience in a CDMO/CRO.
  • Experience with D365
