Overview

Sipcam Agro USA is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Regulatory Affairs Intern to assist the team in the state and federal registration processes for pesticides and fertilizers. This internship will provide valuable hands-on experience in regulatory affairs within the agrochemical industry. The intern will support various activities related to state registrations, renewals, amendments, and other regulatory tasks. The role will be based at the corporate office, providing the opportunity for direct exposure to regulatory operations in a dynamic industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the submission of State Pesticide New Product Registrations and Renewals for crop protection and turf and ornamental products, including 24(c) Special Local Need Label submissions.
  • Support the submission of State Fertilizer New Product Registrations and Renewals for crop protection and turf and ornamental products.
  • Help resolve additional state regulatory requirements, such as NY RUP certifications, state 6(a)2 reporting, fertilizer tonnage reporting, and gross sales reports.
  • Participate in Innovation and New Product Introduction (NPI) meetings and assist in identifying potential issues while providing solutions.
  • Assist with Federal Product Registrations, including preparing dossier submissions, label amendments, notifications, and other related tasks.
  • Support Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) data achievement processes.
  • Help with the review and editing of commercial product labels.
  • Assist in managing Product Chemistry and Acute Toxicity reports with external Contract Research Organizations (CROs).
  • Participate in industry association meetings (e.g., AAPFCO, AAPCO/SFIREG, RISE) and provide updates on upcoming legislation.
  • Support Fertilizer and Soil Amendment Tonnage Reporting (monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reports).

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Science (Agricultural Science, Environmental Science, or related fields).
  • Prior coursework or academic projects in Regulatory Affairs or Agrochemicals is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to track and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Good prioritization and time-management skills.
  • Highly responsive, with the ability to provide timely and accurate assistance.
  • Collaborative and team-oriented attitude, with a willingness to contribute ideas and solutions.
  • Creative problem-solving and proactive approach to challenges.
