Use Your Power for Purpose
The Asset Care Lead will provide strategic and operational leadership for the PACE program, which focuses on asset reliability and Asset Lifecycle Management. This role is critical in driving asset reliability excellence, optimizing asset lifecycle costs, and ensuring the effective management of Pfizer's global asset network in PGS.
Develop and lead a high value and well understood program that will directly contribute to PGS cost savings, revenue generation, and additional production throughput. This program will transform how Pfizer manages our asset network across our global manufacturing footprint (~500K+ assets). The role will have a strong focus on driving a robust and coordinated effort across a diverse set of PGS stakeholders with the common objectives of: (1) maximizing asset life, (2) reducing the total cost of ownership of assets and (3) maximizing uptime efficiency.
The role requires broad technical knowledge across reliability, workflow management and the lifecycle asset management process. This role will also manage the process oversight of Global SOP’s and Work Instructions. This role will have an ability to operate and influence at a strategic and executive level. The role will involve close partnership with operating units and site leadership, GTEL/GEO teams (BEST), Digital, Quality, Finance, Procurement, and other PGS teams.


What You Will Achieve
• Evolve strategic vision for the program end to end for asset lifecycle, asset reliability (PACE), maintenance workflow, digital asset systems (EAMS, WPM, etc) aligning with Pfizer's overall business goals.
• Oversee the deployment and continuous improvement of the PACE Ecosystem, ensuring that all sites achieve reliability excellence.
• Manage a team of approximately 6-10 engineering colleagues
• Create common goals and incentives for program stakeholders and process owners.
• Lead the governance, change management and integration workstreams focused on breaking down existing organization and initiatives silos.
• Ensure tight coordination and management of key interdependencies.
• Establish clear ownership and roles across global processes in the PACE operating model.
• Obtain buy-in from critical PGS leadership and influence key decisions for relevant initiatives.
• Drive standardization of process, policies, roles, asset classes, documentation, data, and information used in decision-making related to assets/equipment’s across Pfizer sites.
• Drive the implementation of best practices in equipment maintenance and calibration across Pfizer's global network.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Benchmarking by leveraging external perspectives (Looking outwards)
• SME for PQS’ and soon to be L-2 Global SOP’s/Work Instructions. Ensure network strategy will drive process optimization, increase efficiencies, and collaborative solutions. Manage the process oversight of Global SOP’s and Global Work Instructions, and alignment of Local Work Instructions that support Revolution
• Clear Stakeholder mapping, engage with site leadership, other site colleagues, digital partners, vendors and other stakeholders to foster a culture of asset care excellence and One Engineering. Facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration across the Pfizer network and keep channels for continuous improvement open.
• Optimize asset lifecycle costs and improve overall equipment effectiveness. Develop strategies to reduce the total cost of ownership of assets while maximizing their lifespan.
• Enable better decision-making with elevated digital toolset, business insights from enhanced data, and analytics for both site and central teams.
• Create and provide visibility to holistic performance metrics that drive cooperative behaviours and incentives, generating positive impacts to PGS financial goals.
• Ensure accurate and timely value tracking and reporting of PACE program benefits across costs savings, revenue uplift, and operational process improvements.
• Report on PACE Program updates, roadmap, and value forecasted/delivered. Leverage the BEST Model.
• Develop empowered teams by enabling team members to make decisions at the “right” level and perform asset management with success.
• Process owner forMaintenance work management, driving standardization and workflow optimization to maximize labor, minimize downtime for maintenance and effective PM/PdM/Corrective Maintenance
• System Owner for EAMS and WPM digital systems, that drive effective improvements to these systems to support the business. Ensure compliance of EAMS as PGS’ CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)

Program Leadership
Act as single point of contact/owner with accountability for the program. Develop and drive program strategy. Obtain buy-in from critical PGS leadership and influence key decisions for the program. Report on Program updates, roadmap, and value forecasted/delivered.
Program Integration & Governance Workstream
Lead the governance, change management and integration workstreams focused on breaking down existing organization and initiatives silos. Create common goals and incentives for program stakeholders and process owners. Ensure tight coordination and management of key interdependencies. Establish clear ownership and roles across global processes and program operating model.
Workstreams Oversight
Oversee delivery success of program workstreams; act as escalation point for workstream leads. Support workstream leads in setting their strategic direction and prioritization of workstream initiatives. Ensure alignment of workstream activities with overall program goals.
Value Management
Manage visibility to holistic performance metrics that drive cooperative behaviors and incentives, generating positive impacts to PGS financial goals. Ensure accurate and timely value tracking and reporting of program benefits across costs savings, revenue uplift, and operational process improvements.
People & Knowledge
Manage a team of 6-10 colleagues. Grow and retain critical skills and knowledge. Develop empowered teams by enabling team members to make decisions at the “right” level and perform asset management with success.
Digital Enablement
Partner with the Digital organization to develop the necessary platforms to appropriately manage our asset management processes. Enable workforce activities and decision-making with elevated digital toolset, business insights from enhanced data, and analytics for both site and central teams.


Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)
A four year technical degree in an Engineering related discipline is required. At least, 10+ yrs. of experience working within a Pharma. Industry or related manufacturing environment managing a large engineering, maintenance, and utilities organization is also required. A graduate level degree that relates to Pharm. Mfg., Process Engineering, Automation, Utilities/Energy or Equipment/Reliability Engineering would also be beneficial. Experience managing Reliability and LCAM Programs is preferred.

Strong administrative, leadership, strategic and technical skills are a must:
• In depth working knowledge of the Global Reliability, Energy and Climate Change, MRO and EHS Programs, as well as Manufacturing Operations expertise
• Contract management experience
• Credible Leader in the EMU community and PGS
• Extensive experience with a broad customer base and technical teams.
• Strong capability to establish rapport with OpU leaders.
• Strong partnership skills within GE (through BEST) and within PGS
• Global experience beneficial
• An exceptional degree of ingenuity, creativity, resourcefulness and innovative capabilities.
• Understanding of Reliability Business Strategies and Market trends.
• Strong capabilities to understand, lead, and nurture a growing business support program.

• Knowledgeable of financial models and computer literacy.

• Knowledgeable of digital and AI applications

Physical/Mental Requirements

• Able visit/work in mechanical spaces such as utility plants, mechanical equipment rooms and other industrial environments. Able to utilize Personal Protective Equipment

• Able to travel globally ~20%
• Able to work in pharmaceutical manufacturing environments that include utility plants, mechanical equipment rooms and GMP manufacturing spaces

Work Location Assignment: Hybrid

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $169,700.00 to $282,900.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
