The Supervisor – Shipping, Blending and Packaging oversees blending operations to ensure that product is blended and packaged efficiently and effectively to meet customer orders. Works closely with production for the receiving, storage and distribution of all gelatin products received either from suppliers or warehousing facilities. Supervises all shipping operations.

Some duties include but not limited to:

• Develop and maintain procedures for efficient Blending and Packaging operations.
• Develop and maintain systems to ensure efficient and effective Blending and Packaging operations.
• Develop and maintain targets for shipping, blending and packaging operations.
• Maintains key metrics for monitoring of efficiencies in all blending, packaging, and shipping operations.
• Supervisory responsibility for Shipping and Blending Operators to coordinate with shipping for all shipments.
• Ensure effective employee relations. Provide employee coaching & development.
• Resolve employee issues through problem resolution.
• Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety and morale to achieve positive results in all areas.
• Manage departmental performance measures, including visual controls and provide regular reports to management.
• Provide leadership during assigned shifts and input into the production planning.
• Support proper product inventory levels being maintained.
• Manage departmental priorities.
• Ensure Plant GMP conditions are at acceptable levels.
• Ensure product quality is maintained throughout the blending and packaging process.
• Ensure that all wrapping, palletizing, labeling functions are maintained to a high standard.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of supervisory, management, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in food or pharmaceutical industry preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• Ability to communicate clearly; orally and written form
