Who You Are

Leads the budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting processes. Provides insight into business drivers and financial forecasts and results and builds strong partnerships with other departments. Performs benchmarking analysis to build an understanding of how Kriya’s financial profile compares to other companies in the industry.

How You Contribute

  • Drive an efficient, effective, and comprehensive process for developing financial plans and analysis that links to strategic objectives
  • Ensure current year budget and forecast processes and management reporting yield business insights and drive recommendations and results
  • Oversees the company's long-range planning (LRP) and asset management (investment) operations.
  • Researches and summarizes competitor clinical study costs for phase 1/2 and pivotal studies in the same disease areas as Kriya in order to inform long range forecasting.
  • In collaboration with Strategy and Business Ops, prepares Net Present Value (NPV) analysis that assesses program and Corporate value at various inflection points.
  • Responsible for preparation of monthly consolidated reports for management, budgeting, forecasting, and evaluating and enforcing contracts, accounting polices and procedures.
  • Establishes internal controls, operating policies and procedures for the finance group.
  • Assists in debt and equity financings and financial due diligence.
  • Performs research, analysis and other technical support for deal structuring, M & A, and other special projects.
  • Develops and maintains a tracking file that contains spending trends, pipeline information, deal history and financial ratios for competitors and similar biotech companies.
  • Manages relationships with investors and financial institutions as needed.
  • Duties may also include asset (investment) management and support for internal and external financial presentations and other ad-hoc requests and projects.
  • Implement, manage and improve financial tools and processes
  • Provide insight into business drivers and financial forecasts and results
  • Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end reporting requirements with clear reporting, analysis, and insights
  • Develop business intuition to communicate the main implications observed from analysis
  • You will improve financial performance through identification of business trends, implications, and recommendations
  • Build strong partnerships across finance function to ensure clear communication and collaboration.
  • Drives profitable growth by analyzing results and advising senior management on insights and recommended actions
  • Communicate compelling messages to senior executives and external business partners
  • Be decisive and willing to take action
  • Committed to developing a team and building an FP&A team

What You Bring to the Team

Education & Experience

  • BS in Accounting, Business Administration or Finance
  • MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of financial analysis/planning experience

Competencies

  • Extensive knowledge of accounting, financial statement preparation, and SEC reporting
  • Extraordinary analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic, rapidly changing business environment
  • Strong knowledge of financial budgeting software
  • Advance experience in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Strong presentation skills

Working Conditions

  • Primarily desk-based, generally in an office or home office setting
  • May involve extended periods of sitting and computer use
