Position Summary:

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Data & Analytics (D&A) Manager to build and lead our newly formed central data function. This pivotal role will be responsible for establishing the D&A practice from the ground up, managing a team of three analysts, and partnering directly with Finance and Supply Chain leadership. The successful candidate will architect our reporting future, transitioning from manual processes to an automated, insights-driven environment using SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and a future Data Lake.

This role operates in three critical phases: Stabilize (successful system go-live and interim solutions), Standardize (process refinement and strategic roadmap development), and Optimize (full automation and implementation of best-in-class analytics).

Responsibilities:

Leadership & Strategy:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of three data analysts.

  • Develop and execute a multi-phase D&A strategy aligned with the goals of the Finance and Supply Chain departments.

  • Establish and socialize the D&A "Charter" and "Articles of Incorporation," defining the team's mission, vision, and operating model.

  • Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders (Finance, Supply Chain) and IT, negotiating and finalizing an Operating Level Agreement (OLA) to govern service delivery.

Technical Execution & Delivery:

  • Short-Term (Stabilize):

    • Champion the successful go-live of new systems (e.g., SAP, SAC), ensuring reporting outputs meet business requirements.

    • Develop and manage interim reporting bridges and workarounds to ensure business continuity.

    • Lead the archival of historical data from legacy systems and the onboarding of new tools (e.g., OE KPI FIRE).

    • Establish a central D&A SharePoint site as a one-stop-shop for all reporting assets and documentation.

    • Support the adoption of new Ways of Working (WoW), such as Project Control frameworks.

  • Mid-Term (Standardize):

    • Collaborate with business partners to stabilize operations and refine interim solutions.

    • Partner with IT to build, prioritize, and manage a strategic backlog and roadmap for automated, systems-based reporting.

    • Establish a formal feedback loop to IT for business needs, requests, and wish lists.

    • Reassess and refine team processes and customer engagement models.

  • Long-Term (Optimize):

    • Lead the implementation of automated reporting solutions within SAC and the future Data Lake environment.

    • Drive the transition from reactive reporting to proactive, predictive insights that optimize financial and supply chain operations.

    • Continuously explore and implement best-in-class D&A practices, tools, and technologies

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in data analytics, with 3+ years in a team leadership or management role.

  • Proven experience leading the reporting workstream of a major ERP implementation (SAP S/4HANA is highly desirable).

  • Deep, hands-on expertise with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and traditional BI tools (Power BI, Tableau).

  • Expert-level proficiency in SQL and experience with data modeling.

  • Demonstrated experience building a D&A function from the ground up, including defining charters, OLAs, and operating models.

  • Superior ability to translate complex business needs into technical requirements and manage a strategic project roadmap.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience supporting Finance and Supply Chain functions.
