Job Summary:
Receive, store, load, unload, sort, segregate, and distribute materials, tools, equipment, and products to desired locations; pick, pack, and ship materials. The Material Coordinator is responsible for the daily flow of supplies and materials needed for daily operations. Strictly follow all safety requirements for hand and power tool operation and housekeeping. Safely transport products and materials to and from specified locations in a timely manner. Participate in inventory counts and ensure all necessary preparation required for inventory counts is completed. Material handling for various work areas within the organization. Keep receiving, shipping, and warehouse area orderly and remove waste in a timely manner. Regular attendance and daily punctuality are necessary for performing the job. Perform additional duties and assignments as directed by management.
Job Responsibilities:
- Receive and process inbound product, paperwork, and material for GMP and Non-GMP areas per appropriate SOPs and GMP documentation.
- Responsible for verification, pick-up, and kitting of requested materials from the warehouse for manufacturing operations.
- Count and safeguard all material entering the warehouse, prepare necessary documentation, and enter all receipts to the computerized inventory system; immediately identify and report all inbound damaged goods with a copy of the bill of lading or other documentation to the applicable buyer.
- Responsible for completing paperwork for each task, cleaning procedures, aseptic processing techniques, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and laboratory safety practices and procedures.
- Strictly adhere to safety and compliance requirements as related to personal protection requirements and safeguard against injury to him/herself and all adjacent personnel.
- Interface with other plant personnel in a courteous manner.
- Other duties as assigned by leadership.
Minimum Requirements:
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year with two years of experience in Warehousing, Shipping, Receiving, and computerized inventory control.
- Should be knowledgeable in all facets of warehousing, including receiving, housekeeping, computerized inventory control, tagging of capital items, location management, shipping, LTL trucking, FedEx/Airborne and UPS service, problem resolution, purchasing interface and packaging.
- Should possess knowledge of chemicals, use of SDS sheets in a high-volume manufacturing operation and DOT requirements regarding the transportation of hazardous materials.
Language Ability
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, verbal as well as written, to include listening.
- Ability to clearly articulate business priorities to all company employees when and if required.
Reasoning Ability
- Excellent analytical skills in support of problem solving / troubleshooting.
Math Ability
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Physical Demands
- Ability to lift 25-50 pounds and push 200L drums on dollies into the manufacturing area.
- Standing for more than 2-8 hours is required along with the ability to carry materials and place them on transfer carts for movement.
Computer and Equipment Skills
- Knowledge of and experience using Contact Management, Database software, E-mail, General Ledger, Internet software, Inventory, Manufacturing software, Order processing, Spreadsheets, Word processing, telephone, copy machine, and fax machines
Range: $21.63 / hr. - $30.14 / hr.
