Position Summary:

Our team is actively seeking a professional, technical and dedicated team member to play an indispensable role in supporting the Analytical and Formulation Sciences laboratories at KBI. As a fast-paced department, the support this role provides is critical to the success of the business. The main function of a lab technician is to provide support through general maintenance of laboratory and supply storage areas, instruments, and supplies. The lab technician is expected to use general lab methods, techniques, equipment, and instrumentation in compliance with quality assurance programs and standard operating procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up, operate, standardize and perform maintenance on laboratory equipment as required.

  • Aide in inventory supply and consumable acquisition and distribution.

  • Provide support through glassware processing, biological waste processing, and core consumable management.

  • Follow work processes as outlined by KBI written procedures.

  • Analyze/maintain/reconcile various company logbooks and reports to ensure compliance requirements are met.

  • Optimally address issues with a goal of resolution within established timeframe.

  • Lead departmental HSE objectives.

  • Engage in process improvement activities.

Requirements:

  • High school degree, or equivalent is required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferred

  • 4 years or relevant experience

  • Ability to adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards, Laboratory Setting, Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, respirator, etc.)

  • Ability to read, write and speak English fluently, using strong interpersonal skills and desire to deliver excellent customer service, including maintaining a professional appearance in all interactions

  • Uses organizational skills to multi-task and meet due dates as needed

  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Requires the ability to lift, push and pull 10-20 pounds consistently; may be required to lift 20 pounds, including operation and use of pushcarts

  • Demonstrates computer proficiency and possess intermediate skills in Microsoft Office

  • Flexibility with work schedule may be required

  • Able to work independently and with a team

Pay Range: $21.63-$30.14

Pay range provided per current averages and expectations. The pay and job title for this opening will be based on the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience and may be outside this range.
