This position is a critical part of the US Lung Oncology team. The individual in this position will be responsible for leading the field-based Lung Oncology Thought Leader Liaison team.
The Business Director will:
Lead, coach and empower the TLL team to deliver on an integrated KOL, congress and customer-centric professional education strategy
Oversee the national/regional thought leader speaker engagement and medical education execution
Continually assess competitive landscape to inform the development of strategic KOL engagement plans and inform innovative engagement platforms
Develop and ensure long term portfolio optimization strategy through identification and development of future Lung Oncology Opinion Leaders.
Gather and share insights on current and future market development opportunities through advisory boards and regular interactions with thought leaders in lung oncology
Closely collaborate with brand marketing functions to ensure alignment in strategy, execution and messaging to create strategic and cross functional market development plans for all Lung Oncology brands
Develop DSA and inform lifecycle management and launch readiness across brands and indications
Work with Brand Market Development teams to create and manage KOL database and execution metrics
Work closely with multiple functions including Brand Marketing, Sales, Key Account Managers, Medical Affairs, Medical Science Liaisons, Commercial Excellence, Corporate Communications and outside vendors to effectively execute key commercial activities.
Oversee the plans for relevant congress participation and evaluate support for regional sponsorships
The Business Director must develop, retain and motivate direct reports. The individual will be responsible for the development of all employees within team by supporting the development of Human Resources Planning (HRP) programs including management development and training to meet current and future business needs. Qualifications:
A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree is required, MBA is preferred.
A minimum of 7 years of business experience is required, of which, at least 4 years of demonstrated team leadership experience and proven performance is highly preferred.
Clinical Acumen in oncology/lung and/or a biology/scientific background is highly preferred.
Demonstrated people management experience is required.
Previous pharma sales or sales management experience is required.
Demonstrated experience in critical marketing competencies is preferred.
Must be innovative, proactive, and strong analytically with excellent overall business acumen.
Must be capable of managing and prioritizing multiple priorities and have excellent overall business acumen and strong analytical skills.
Must demonstrate excellent leadership skills with the ability to work effectively in a matrix and unstructured environment. Demonstrated ability to think strategically.
Must be able to fully access needs of the brands across the portfolio in collaboration with brand leadership
Must identify and outline best in class medical education programs across the oncology portfolio
The demonstrated ability to think strategically is required.
Must be able to operate in two worlds - big picture orientation with attention to detail.
Interpersonal flexibility to effectively interact with a broad range of personnel, advanced communication, presentation, and facilitation skills are required.
A valid driver’s license issued in the United States
This position is field based and will require up to 40-50% travel within US, with limited international travel.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :
$160,000-$276,000Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
