The Site Engineering team operates as one integrated team in the Delivering Projects, Maintenance and Automation solutions. We operate in a standard, coordinated and consistent manner in support of the current and future requirements of our Manufacturing and Manufacturing Science and Technology (MSAT) and in partnership with key internal/external network.
We are searching for the best talent for our Senior Automation Engineer - BAS Lead located in Wilson, NC!
Automation is a dedicated team professionals with various technical expertise, responsible for the implementation, validation, qualification and maintenance of the ISA-95 level 1 and 2 manufacturing automated systems and applicable interfaces and level 3 recipe content for the manufacturing facility. Ensure that automated systems are fit for intended use and follow applicable regulatory requirements (e.g. cG(a)MP) and company manufacturing standards throughout the entire system life cycle.
The selected candidate will lead the delivery, support, and maintenance of site Building Automation System (BAS) and Utility Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) systems, including project execution, upgrades, system performance, vendor management, production and development systems, library standards and network infrastructure. After the go-live, he/she will conduct the planning, design, scheduling, and control of automation projects to support new product development and base business.
Key Responsibilities:
Site primary contact for BAS and Utility PLC global standards support and delivery.
Delivery and execution of the Site BAS and utility PLC Projects and strategies.
BAS and Utility PLC Technical Owner and SME for the site
Establishes methods for developing and gaining insight into system architecture to distill it into concrete design.
Assists in establishing and implementing automation requirements and is responsible for the scheduling, resource management, maintenance, and operational support.
Delivers technical reports, technical papers, and other documents.
Assists in the management of existing equipment and control systems in assigned areas and helps resolve reliability and need for updates.
Conducts most complex assessments to resolve regulatory compliance and any necessary improvements for regulation conformity.
Establishes automation deliverables timelines and ensures alignment to expected deadlines.
Coaches more junior colleagues in techniques, processes, and responsibilities
Qualifications
Education:
A Bachleor degree in engineering, science, or an IT area, required
Experience and Skills:
Required:
A minimum of 6 years of experience in a regulated environment
Strong experience with BAS, preferably Honeywell BMS, and Siemens PLCs.
Project Management experience
Preferred:
Experience in a pharmaceutical or GMP-regulated manufacturing environment.
In-depth technical knowledge of S88/S95 systems, including Honeywell EBI, Emerson DeltaV, OSI Pi, Siemens PLCs, and IT Infrastructure & Hardware.
Key understanding of Industrial Automation Networks and Communication Protocols.
Knowledge of HVAC, facilities, and utility systems.
Familiarity with S95 level 4 systems, including ERP, Quality Systems, Data Warehouses, and CDL.
In-depth understanding of the ISA S95 & S88 standards and how they should be used within the Global Supply Chain
Appreciation of Industry 4.0/IIoT.
Other:
PMP and/or FPX certifications.
This position will require 20% travel in project phase and 10% travel time during normal operation.
