The Analytics team within IQVIA’s Site Engagement Suite (SES) group is an exciting and dynamic healthcare practice where you can start or continue your career in the life sciences industry.

From our position atop this wealth of information, we seek to deliver unparalleled insights and analysis to our clients. We are seeking an Associate Director – IT Delivery to join our team.

Job Overview:
Leads the conceptualization, design, development, and implementation of enterprise architecture and delivery across both data and application platforms. Ensures that architecture aligns with business goals, product roadmaps, security best practices, and integration standards. Acts as a hands-on engineering leader, influencing both strategic and tactical aspects of product development, delivery, and cross-functional collaboration.

Essential Functions:

  • Leads the end-to-end architecture and delivery of enterprise-level systems, platforms, and applications.

  • Provides architectural solutions and ensures scalable, secure, and performant designs aligned with business goals.

  • Reviews technical designs and code to ensure architectural integrity and adherence to best practices.

  • Conducts in-depth code analysis and performance reviews; provides hands-on support and guidance to engineering teams when needed.

  • Partners with business, product, and engineering leadership to define long-term product and platform roadmaps.

  • Collaborates with product development teams to align strategic direction and provide architectural oversight throughout the software development lifecycle.

  • Facilitates system and application integration across internal and external platforms, ensuring robust and secure communication via APIs and services.

  • Oversees API design, development, and review processes; ensures APIs are secure, scalable, and compliant with standards.

  • Ensures that systems follow modern security practices including authentication (e.g., SSO), authorization, encryption, and data protection principles.

  • Stays abreast of emerging technologies and evaluates their relevance to ongoing and future architecture.

  • Leads cross-functional brainstorming sessions to identify innovation opportunities and resolve architectural challenges.

  • Drives adherence to enterprise architecture frameworks, development standards, and delivery methodologies.

  • Defines and oversees architecture review processes and technical governance.

  • Mentors and supports architects, engineers, and analysts across multiple teams to build architectural maturity and technical excellence.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
    10+ years of experience in software and/or product development, with significant architectural leadership.

  • Proven experience designing and delivering complex application and data architectures in large-scale environments.

  • Strong background in systems integration, API strategy and implementation, security frameworks (SSO, OAuth, JWT, etc.), and cloud-native solutions.

  • Deep experience in enterprise architecture, information modeling, microservices, and system design.

  • Expertise in data architecture, including modern data platforms, pipelines, and governance.

  • Expertise with Big Data Technologies like Snowflake, Airflow, PySpark, etc.

  • Demonstrated ability to align technical solutions with business strategies and goals.

  • Hands-on experience with architectural reviews, code reviews, and engineering best practices.

  • Proven leadership in cross-functional collaboration, stakeholder management, and product/roadmap planning.

  • Ability to influence and guide teams through change, innovation, and technical evolution.

  • Strong understanding of current technology stacks, tools, and software development methodologies.

  • Excellent communication and consulting skills to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $116,900.00 - $217,100.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
