This role is with Accellacare, part of ICON's clinical research network, where you’ll play a key role in transforming the clinical trial experience for patients and sponsors alike. Our global site network is designed with one goal in mind: to deliver better access, greater efficiency, and improved outcomes in clinical research.

The Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) in Clinical Research plays a vital role in designing, conducting, and reporting nutrition-related clinical trials. This position blends patient care, research methodology, and data analysis to advance evidence-based nutrition science and support therapeutic interventions.

Travel between the following sites: Statesville, Winston Salem, Salisbury, Hickory

Responsibilities:

• Design & implement nutrition-related clinical trials, developing research protocols, consent materials, and dietary intervention plans
• Recruit, assess, and support study participants, providing medical nutrition therapy and dietary counseling aligned with study protocols
• Ensure compliance with IRB, ethical, and regulatory standards for human subjects research
• Develop evidence-based dietary guidelines and recommendations based on research outcomes
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including investigators, clinicians, statisticians, and coordinators, to ensure integration of nutrition into overall study design
• Supervise and mentor junior research staff or dietetic interns, contributing to skill development and knowledge-sharing
• Stay up to date on advancements in nutrition science and research methodologies, integrating innovation into study design and analysis

Qualifications:

• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN/RN)
• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition, dietetics, or related field
• Minimum of 1+ years of experience as a RD
