Work Schedule: 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Monday – Friday; willing to work weekends, swing shift, and grave shift as needed.

Position Summary: Responsible for maintaining a clean, orderly, and hygienic environment throughout manufacturing zones, warehouse areas, and office spaces. This essential role supports operational integrity by executing routine cleaning duties in strict alignment with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Requires a high level of reliability, meticulous attention to detail, and a consistent commitment to maintaining sanitation standards across diverse workspaces.

Essential Functions

  • Maintain assigned areas in a clean and orderly state, which includes cleaning waste barrels, trash receptacles, racks and shelves, stairs and handrails, production breakrooms, office breakrooms, facility offices, conference rooms, production & office restrooms, locker rooms, as well as sweeping floors, wall joints, perimeter walls, parking lots, building windows, and ensuring the front exterior of office buildings are presentable and clean.
  • Maintain production area cleanliness and functionality by performing routine tasks including replacing air filters, emptying trash receptacles, and sweeping floors to uphold safety and sanitation standards.
  • Perform monthly facility maintenance duties in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), ensuring cleanliness and operational standards are met. Responsibilities include cleaning overhead lights and forklifts in designated areas, as well as vacuuming building fixtures such as light fixtures, hoists, I-beam rails, vent structures, ceilings, and walls.
  • Conduct routine checks to assess stock levels of essential janitorial supplies, including paper towels, toilet paper, soap, disinfectants, mopheads, trash liners, gloves, and other cleaning materials. Inspect storage areas for expired, damaged, or improperly stored products and remove them to maintain safety and compliance. Monitor usage patterns to identify high-turnover items and anticipate future supply needs, ensuring timely restocking and uninterrupted cleaning operations.
  • Complete all designated janitorial and GMP checklists. Ensure all documentation is accurate and submitted to the appropriate quality team member for evaluation. Uphold regulatory compliance by maintaining a clean, safe, and audit-ready environment throughout the facility.
  • Consistently follow established safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), safe operation of custodial and warehouse tools and machinery, and adherence to correct lifting techniques to prevent injury and ensure a secure work environment.

Other Duties

  • Provide assistance to both production and warehouse departments by performing a variety of tasks that help maintain workflow efficiency and operational continuity. Duties may include organizing materials and supporting equipment setup and cleanup.

Experience and Education Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
  • Janitorial experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA’s) Required

  • Good communication and people skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work in an organized manner
  • Self-motivated and ability to work without direct supervision
  • Ability to read and write English at a basic level

Acute hearing is necessary for telephone and in-person communication with fellow employees, and visual acuity sufficient to read a computer screen and paper documents.

Working Conditions

This position typically functions in a manufacturing/warehouse environment. Exposure includes dust, chemicals, heat/cold, allergens, and moderate noise levels.
