Position Summary: The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the shipping and receiving of materials and products. Responsibilities include but are not limited to recording shipping and receiving data along with ensuring inventory is handled, stored, and maintained. The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for maintaining a safe, organized warehouse, and stocking location.
Essential Functions:
- Supervises receiving activities ensuring that incoming freight is received in good order and properly matched to the packing slip and purchase order. Records inventory received in an accurate and timely manner. Maintains accurate inventory and provides timely notification of low stock.
- Stores incoming stock in appropriate warehouse location, manages stock rotation using a First In First Out (FIFO) system to prevent expired products. Employs appropriate measures to secure warehouse contents and prevent loss.
- Maintains inventory transaction records in a well-organized and easily retrievable manner, ensuring all entries are accurate and clearly documented. Analyzes inventory variances and initiates corrective actions. Documents damaged items and discrepancies in inventory, notifies appropriate personnel immediately when discrepancies are discovered.
- Directs and monitors shipping activities to ensure that outgoing freight is accurately pulled from stock, matches pick note, and is shipped within the specified time frame. Confirms that shipment weights are accurate, ensures all shipping documentation is in order including lot tracking before an order is loaded and released to the transportation company.
- Manages shipping logistics including obtaining freight quotes, scheduling carriers, creating shipping labels and bills of lading, and compiling and distributing Certificates of Analysis. Coordinates warehouse activities with other departments to ensure accurate and timely delivery of products to customers.
- Coordinates cycle counting and leads year-end inventory of the shipping and receiving warehouse.
Other Duties
- Participates in Non-Conforming Materials Review (NCMR) dispositions and meetings as needed.
- Staffs the warehouse department with appropriate personnel.
- Ensures department staff maintains current forklift driving certification.
- Coordinates with production management as needed to support and maintain efficient production levels.
- Performs other Warehouse Supervisor duties as assigned.

Experience and Education Requirements
- Highschool Diploma/GED required.
- At least three years’ leadership experience required.
- At least five years’ shipping/receiving experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA’s) Required
- Knowledge of basic business math.
- Knowledge of applicable product regulations.
- General knowledge of all manufactured and resale products.
- Proficient knowledge of inventory and inventory controls.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, conflict resolution, and people skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Safe forklift and pallet jack operating skills are required.
- Ability to self-motivate and work without direct supervision.
- Ability to multi-task and work in an organized manner.
- Strong ability to follow safe work practices.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office, other computer programs, and technology.

Working Conditions
This position typically functions in office and warehouse areas. There will be exposure to moderate noise levels, fumes, dust, chemicals, heat/cold, and allergens especially in the warehouse environments.
