Summary of the position
The HR Generalist U.S. supports the U.S. HR Services department by working closely with the U.S. HR Department to achieve company’s goals. Under the management of the Head of HR Services U.S. and working closely with the HR Business Partners, the HR Generalist U.S. will provide administration of the day-to-day operations of the human resource functions and duties to ensure efficient operation of the U.S. sites. The HR Generalist U.S. supports managers and employees through a variety of tasks related to organization and communication, is responsible for confidential and time sensitive material and information and ensures that all duties are completed accurately and delivered with high quality and in a timely manner.
YOUR ROLE
• Provides HR support to the U.S. Human Resources Department and to employees locally and at U.S. level with the strictest confidentiality at all times and with limited supervision
• Enforces company policies and practices at all times
• Supports recruiting process as needed
• Supports hiring process (job descriptions, requisitions, conduct background checks and employee eligibility verifications)
• Prepares onboarding documents and welcome kit, and conducts new hire orientation
• Creates and maintains employee personnel files in compliance with applicable legal requirements
• Acts as a first point of contact for employees and people managers on key HR processes and policies by working to establish and maintain trust with all levels of employees throughout the organization
• Administer employment changes and maintenance of HR database in a timely manner
• Prepares data for payroll accurately and timely
•Supports the goals setting, annual reviews, bonus and merit increase campaigns
•Supports with mandatory and non-mandatory trainings
• Monitors, develops, compiles, maintains and distributes documents, data files and reports for HR
• Prepares and complies with EEO reports requirements
• Support internal and external audit requests
• Handles HR invoices by processing and keeping track
• Assists with administration of site rules or regulations
• Participate on committees to provide HR support and to monitor activities and completion of goals
• Support implementing employees’ relations and employee satisfaction initiatives
• Helps with site philanthropy projects
• Coordinates and participates in employee functions
• Maintains and uploads HR communication information to bulletin boards and monitors within the site
• Serve a back-up for the HR Generalists in the U.S. as needed/planned
• Performs other duties as assigned by management
YOUR BACKGROUND
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required
• 3+ years’ experience in Human Resources
• Multi-state experience required
• SHRM-CP a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
• Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
• Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
• Proficient with Microsoft Office or related software
• Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization HRIS, talent management systems and other software
• Travel may be required
