Summary of the position

The Senior HR Generalist is responsible for delivering comprehensive HR support across multiple functions including employee relations, performance management, talent development, and compliance. Under the direction of the Head of HR Services U.S. and HR Business Partner, the Senior HR Generalist will support on all HR matters and services to ensure efficient operations of the U.S. sites aligned with organizational goals. The Senior HR Generalist is also responsible for delivering high-quality administrative support across HR operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance in employee lifecycle processes. This role is central to maintaining HR systems, managing data integrity, and supporting employees and the HR Business Partner with transactional and procedural needs.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Provides HR support to the U.S. Head of HR Services and HRBP Raleigh with the strictest confidentiality at all times and with minimal supervision on all HR matters
  • Mentor HR Generalists
  • Back-up for the Benefits and Payroll department
  • Enforces company policies and practices at all times
  • Develop policies as needed, and review and propose changes to current policies
  • Support managers and employees on HR-related matters
  • Manage employee relations issues, investigations, and conflict resolution
  • Support performance management processes, including coaching and feedback
  • Lead or support talent development initiatives and succession planning
  • Support implementing employees’ relations and employee satisfaction initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Collaborates with HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) on compensation, benefits, and talent acquisition
  • Analyze HR metrics and provide insights to leadership
  • Ensure alignment on all HR transactions across the U.S.
  • Ensure data is accurate in the HR systems
  • Assist with HR audits, reporting, and documentation
  • Collaborate with Payroll, Benefits, Finance, IT, and other departments to ensure seamless HR operations
  • Contributes to process improvement initiatives and system enhancements
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office or related software
  • Experience with HRIS systems and data analytics
  • Travel may be required

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required
  • 5+ years’ of progressive Human Resources experience
  • Multi-state experience a plus
  • SHRM-CP a plus

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities
