WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious Filling Setup Operator to join our pharmaceutical packaging team. This role is critical to ensuring the accurate setup, operation, and verification of filling and packaging equipment used in the preparation of glass container products. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of quality, compliance, and efficiency throughout the filling and packaging process. You will work closely with production, quality assurance, and engineering teams to ensure all operations meet regulatory and company standards.

  • Location: Raleigh, NC
  • Schedule: First Shift, Monday–Thursday, 5:30 AM–3:30 PM (Overtime as needed, including weekends — flexibility required)

YOUR ROLE

  • Set up and operate filling and packaging line equipment including labelers, case packers, palletizers, and vision systems according to SOPs.

  • Perform and document equipment challenges at the beginning and end of each lot and shift to ensure proper functionality.

  • Verify and document label accuracy, placement, and barcode readability against master records.

  • Conduct hourly and end-of-lot packaging checks to ensure compliance with quality standards.

  • Collaborate with quality assurance personnel to resolve discrepancies and document corrective actions.

  • Maintain accurate and complete batch records, including label reconciliation and product accountability.

  • Monitor and adjust equipment to maintain optimal performance and minimize downtime.

  • Identify and segregate defective units, ensuring proper documentation and handling.

  • Assist with manual packaging operations when required, including labeling, sealing, and palletizing.

  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.

YOUR BACKGROUND

Education

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Technical training or certification in manufacturing or packaging operations is a plus.

Experience

  • Minimum of 1–2 years in a regulated manufacturing or packaging environment, preferably in pharmaceuticals or medical devices.

  • Experience with automated filling and packaging equipment and vision inspection systems is highly desirable.

Skills/Competencies

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

  • Ability to read and interpret SOPs, batch records, and technical documentation.

  • Proficient in basic math and computer skills for data entry and equipment interface.

  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

  • Comfortable working in a cleanroom or GMP-regulated environment.
