Our approach to R&D
We are looking for a Supply Scheduler to join our Pack, Label and Distribution (PLD) Planning and Scheduling team based in Zebulon, NC.
As the Supply Scheduler in PLD Planning and Scheduling you will generate an achievable, balanced packaging schedule at the Zebulon site that delivers clinical demand.
You will manage customer service relationships with various key stakeholders in Clinical Manufacturing and Supply Chain, as well as maximize capacity utilisation in the site through effective planning and decision making.
In this role you will:
- Collect Clinical packaging demand from the Clinical Manufacturing & Supply Chain (CMSC) planning process.
- Produce achievable packaging schedules working with the operations management and planning and scheduling team.
- Respond to rapid unplanned changes in demand and constraints in supply, prioritising patient-focus.
- Resolve planning conflicts within the network.
- Maximise capacity utilization in packaging operations.
- Make supply plans visible and assure connectivity with upstream and downstream nodes in the supply chain.
- Be accountable for the customer service relationship with Global Clinical Supply Planning (GSCP) in CMSC.
- Provide measures of utilization, cycle time and schedule adherence.
- Contribute to the continual development of good scheduling practice.
- Identify and lead improvement activities around schedule adherence, system and tool usage and metrics use to drive improvements in operations.
- Development of scheduling systems and processes to align with vaccines operations.
Basic Qualifications:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
- GMP Packaging and/or manufacturing site experience, principally in supply chain operations.
- Experience of planning and scheduling tools and/or business wide ERP systems.
- Experience with a variety of IT systems including excel.
- Experience utilizing project and process management skills gained within a complex matrix organization.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
- Understanding of all Clinical Trial key functional areas and processes from product manufacture to patient delivery.
- Degree level (or equivalent).
- Track record of creating effective networks with different business stakeholders including senior management.
- Strong written and verbal communication and interface management skills, combined with the ability to influence others and achieve positive outcomes in the best interests of patients and GSK.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, networking, influencing and facilitating skills both individually and in a group situation to bring about local and global agreement to significant change.
- Confidence in building relationships in a global organization.
- Experienced in Lean Sigma methodologies and techniques for process improvement.
