Grifols is seeking an experienced ServiceNow Platform Architect to lead the design, strategy, and governance of our enterprise ServiceNow platform. This role will serve as a technical leader and product strategist , ensuring the platform's scalability, compliance, and alignment without evolving business and operational needs.
The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of the ServiceNow ecosystem, including ITSM, ITOM, SPM, and ITAM, and will play a critical role in maintaining architectural integrity, driving long-term platform value, and supporting enterprise-wide service transformation.
Key Responsibilities
Platform Architecture & Strategy
Lead current-state assessments of platform architecture and data models
Define and maintain a scalable, secure, and sustainable target-state architecture
Ensure architecture decisions align with enterprise standards and regulatory frameworks (SOX, GDPR, etc.)
Develop and maintain a strategic roadmap for growth, including expansion into ITAM, App Engine, and other modules
Platform Governance & Compliance
Develop and enforce platform governance, including design standards documentation protocols, and review checkpoints
Partner with compliance and internal audit teams to ensure audit-ready processes and adherence to regulatory requirements
Serve as the gatekeeper for platform design, configuration, and integrations
Product Ownership & Implementation Oversight
Act as the Product Owner for ITSM, ITOM, and SPM (supporting Application Lifecycle Management) with future expansion into ITAM and additional domains
Own and manage platform backlogs, roadmaps, and delivery priorities across business units
Provide technical oversight across platform enhancements and integrations
Collaborate with service providers, implementation partners, and internal teams to resolve design conflicts and ensure delivery quality
Platform Enablement & Operational Support
Assist in the definition of internal roles and responsibilities needed for long-term support and maturity
Work with the IT Knowledge Manager to build and maintain a role-based training and enablement plan for users and admins
Design and maintain the tiered support model, including escalation paths, platform maintenance tasks, and performance monitoring
Support knowledge transfer and platform capability development within internal teams
Partner & Vendor Relationship Management
Manage Grifols' ServiceNow impact subscription and align usage with business needs
Act as the primary technical contact for ServiceNow and third-party integrators
Ensure third-party deliverables align with platform governance and architectural best practices
Required Qualifications
7+ years of experience in enterprise IT, with at least 3 years in ServiceNow architecture roles
Proven experience as a Product Owner or Technical Lead on complex ServiceNow implementations
Deep understanding of core ServiceNow modules: ITSM, ITOM, SPM, and ITAM
Demonstrated knowledge of SOX compliance, audit readiness, and IT governance practices
Strong ability to translate business needs into technical and long-term architectural strategy
Experience managing vendor/partner relationships, including implementation partners and ServiceNow
Preferred Qualifications
ServiceNow Certifications: System Administrator, Application Developer; Implementation Specialist (any module)
Professional Certifications : ITIL 4 Managing Professional, PMP, or SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager
Experience with ServiceNow Impact, App Engine, or custom development frameworks
Experience in regulated environments (e.g., healthcare, pharma, life sciences) is a strong plus
Occupational Demands
Work is performed in an office environment with exposure to electrical office equipment. Frequently sits for 6-8 hours per day. Frequent hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists. Occasionally walks and stands. Occasionally bends and twists neck. Light to moderate lifting and carrying objects with a maximum lift of 25lbs. Frequently drives to site locations with occasional travel within the United States. Able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand; with the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken and written words and sentences. Interacts with others, relates sensitive information to diverse groups. Must work with diverse groups to obtain consensus on issues.
