GrayBio is developing superior radiotherapies for metastatic cancer. Our innovative biopolymer technology enables targeted radionuclide drugs to better accumulate in tumors while precisely controlling retention. Our pipeline comprises assets delivering clinically-relevant alpha- and beta-emitting radionuclides to maximize efficacy while minimizing toxicity, improving outcomes for patients.
The intern will assist the GrayBio R&D team with molecular cloning, synthesis, purification, and characterization of the Company's biologic precursor. Intern will also assist chemistry development activities within the Company, including setting up conjugation reactions, purifying bioconjugates, and characterizing their attributes. Numerous opportunities will be provided for the Intern to learn useful techniques in biologics R&D, including purification and characterization techniques.
Qualifications:
BS degree in biological sciences, biomedical engineering, or chemistry preferred. Experience with recombinant cloning, protein purification/characterization (e.g., SDS-PAGE, mass spectrometry, column chromatography), cell culture, and/or organic chemistry preferred.
This program is funded through the North Carolina Biotechnology Center's Industrial Internship Program. IIP internships are designed to be spring/summer internships with specific dates/hours to be determined by company needs and candidate availability.
