The position requires an organized professional with 2 years of experience, a thirst for sales, and the ability to collaborate across teams. The Inside Sales Representative will be a member of a global sales and marketing team responsible for supporting sales efforts by nurturing leads, managing customer accounts, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. This role will work to develop long-term customer relations that lead to increased and repeat business. The Inside Sales Representative will work closely with field sales, engineering, manufacturing, and marketing teams to deliver tailored solutions to clients, helping them navigate the complexities of medical device design and manufacturing.
Responsibilities:
Inside Sales
- Generate and qualify leads, respond to inquiries, and follow up on marketing campaigns.
- Support the full sales cycle for inbound and outbound leads from prospecting to closing.
- Engage with existing and potential customers via phone, email, video, and industry events to promote services.
- Maintain detailed records of customer interactions and an accurate and up-to-date sales pipeline in CRM. Ensure timely follow-up with prospects and customers.
- Work closely with the marketing team to align on lead generation efforts, promotional campaigns, and product positioning.
- Collaborate with the engineering teams to ensure a smooth flow of information about service capabilities and client requirements.
Customer Service
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing concerns or questions regarding the company’s services.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing clients in the medical device design and manufacturing industries.
Market Analysis and Strategy
- Collaborate with field sales reps, product managers, and marketing teams to support strategic sales initiatives.
- Conduct market research to identify potential leads, industry trends, and competitive positioning.
- Implement strategies to penetrate new markets, including attending industry events and trade shows to develop key relationships.
- Collaborate with existing industry partners and establish new partnerships with applicable industry organizations, including managing sponsorships and tracking KPI performance.
- Stay up-to-date on industry regulations, medical design innovations, and emerging technologies to effectively advise clients.
Sales Reporting and Analytics
- Prepare regular sales reports and performance analyses for management.
- Analyze sales data to identify areas for process optimization, cross-selling, or upselling opportunities.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Must be a US Citizen or Green card Holder.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2 years of sales experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of the medical device design and manufacturing industry, including regulations and standards, is preferred (e.g., FDA, ISO).
- Experience with CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.) and sales performance analytics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to understand complex technical products and effectively communicate their value to clients.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Travel as needed to meet with clients, attend trade shows, and attend industry events.
- Willing to work in the Durham office 4 days per week.
