Job Description
As the Senior Reporting & Analytics Process Owner, you will own the end-to-end HR reporting and analytics capability for our People & Culture function. You’ll set the standards and governance that ensure a single, trusted source of workforce truth—designing scalable reporting, data models, integrations, and dashboards across Workday, Tableau, and related systems. Your work will fuel strategic decisions for leaders across HR, Finance, and the business.
What you’ll do
- Define and govern HR reporting standards and KPI frameworks across People & Culture—ensuring consistent metrics, calculations, and data lineage across Workday and Tableau.
- Establish and steward reporting/data governance, role-based security, and access controls aligned with global privacy requirements (e.g., GDPR/CCPA).
- Build, optimize, and maintain advanced Workday reports and dashboards (Matrix, Composite, BIRT), calculated fields, schedules, prompts, and secure distribution.
- Create and maintain a scalable self-service reporting ecosystem, including a data dictionary, documentation, and development guidelines—co-owned with process partners.
- Design and deliver Tableau dashboards and analytics solutions for executives and business stakeholders; model HR datasets (incl. Tableau Prep) and apply best practices for usability and data storytelling.
- Translate business questions into actionable analytics and insights on trends, forecasts, segmentation, and workforce dynamics—tracking usage and adoption.
- Operate the intake and prioritization process for reporting requests; set clear SLAs, communicate timelines, and manage a backlog of enhancements aligned with quarterly planning.
- Enable stakeholders through training and data literacy initiatives; empower HR analysts and business users to self-serve responsibly.
- Coordinate and execute the Employee Satisfaction survey program in partnership with P&C leaders.
- Partner with HRIS and IT to manage integrations and pipelines between Workday and downstream systems; coordinate defect remediation, release testing, and incident response with solid runbooks.
Impact you’ll have
- Elevate decision quality through standardized, timely, and trusted insights.
- Reduce operational risk via stronger controls, security, and compliance.
- Accelerate planning cycles and executive reporting with scalable, well-governed data products.
Minimum qualifications (must-have)
Please ensure your background meets the minimum requirements below.
-
Education
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Data Science, Human Resources, IT, Process Optimization, or a related field.
- Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree for highly qualified candidates.
- LEAN SIX Sigma.
-
Experience
- 8+ years of progressive experience in HR reporting and analytics, including data governance and stakeholder engagement.
- 3+ years hands-on Workday reporting experience (Report Writer, Calculated Fields, Security Domains; BIRT and Prism preferred).
- 2+ years building Tableau and Workday dashboards and data models (Tableau Desktop; Tableau Prep preferred).
- 2+ years with HR data integrations (Workday EIB/Studio/Core Connectors, REST/SOAP APIs; ETL tools such as Informatica or Boomi a plus).
- Experience with privacy and compliance (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), data security, and controls.
- Preferred certifications: Workday Pro Reporting; Tableau Desktop Specialist/Certified.
- Thorough understanding of HR data models and downstream system impacts.
- Proven ability to build strong customer relationships and deliver customer-centric solutions with a global mindset.
- Ability to partner across multiple business areas (IT, HR, and country organizations).
- Solid and in-depth insights into HR data platforms and tools.
What you’ll bring
- Mastery of Workday reporting and security concepts; confidence in advanced report types and performance optimization.
- Strong Tableau skills, with a passion for clean design, clear narratives, and practical insights.
- Data governance mindset—metadata, quality checks, audit readiness, and privacy-by-design.
- Business fluency across the HR lifecycle (Recruiting, Core HCM, Compensation/Benefits, Learning, Talent) and workforce planning.
- Clear, audience-appropriate communication and stakeholder management skills; experience training and enabling non-technical users.
- Curiosity, ownership, and a continuous-improvement approach to processes and technology.
How we work
- Global, cross-functional collaboration with HR COEs, Finance, IT/Data, Legal/Privacy, and regional stakeholders.
- A culture that values quality, security, and compliance—without sacrificing speed or usability.
- Hybrid flexibility and modern tools to do your best work.
