Fortrea's is hiring a Director, Clinical FSP Delivery.

We are seeking a strategic client leader with a proven record of growing key accounts and driving exceptional client outcomes. The ideal candidate brings strong presentation and executive communication skills, extensive experience leading RFPs, bid defenses, and governance activities, and a results-driven approach to operational delivery. Success in this role requires the ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments, resolve challenges, influence decisions, and build trusted relationships across client and internal teams. The candidate will be a skilled negotiator, effective collaborator, and strategic partner who can align cross-functional teams, manage competing priorities, and consistently deliver business results.

Job Overview:

Establishes, leads, maintains and expands Clinical FSP customer relationships, whilst overseeing Clinical FSP delivery in alignment with agreements and customer strategy and vision.

    Summary of Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for one or more global/multiregional FSP partnerships or regional FSP partnerships of larger volume ( Greater than $15-20M annual revenue) or complexity across all clinical FSP functional areas serving as assigned customer(s’) primary and/or escalation point of contact.

    • Primary point of contact for assigned FSP customer(s) for internal stakeholders including Operational Leaders, Functional Heads, Finance, Business Development, Pricing and Strategy, Strategic Partnerships.

    • Responsible for overall delivery against MSA and managing overall quality aspects of critical deliverables (KPIs, milestones, quality audits, rebates), operationalize MSA and associated initiatives/projects, through partnership with the Clinical Network and other teams and internal stakeholders.

    • Establishes, owns, maintains and expands customer relationships, whilst overseeing Clinical FSP delivery in alignment with agreements and customer strategy and vision.

    • Assumes strategic oversight of their assigned customer(s) through defining strategy for strong high quality and timely delivery, as well as growth, effective risk management, proactively escalating potential risks to leadership and/or Executive Sponsor(s).

    • Collaborates with Strategic Partnership Director (where applicable) and Business Development on MSA negotiations, when required.

    • Oversees all clinical FSP service contract negotiations for new contracts and oversees/leads change orders for assigned customer, delegating where appropriate to the FSP Delivery team.

    • Upon award of new FSP services, establishes and defines delivery model, supports onboarding of all internal stakeholders to facilitate quality and timely implementation.

    • Oversees financial health of assigned partnerships by surveying budget burn and ensuring customer adherence to contractual payment terms to maintain within agreed margin, partnering with Accounts Receivable as needed.

    • Oversee and/or lead on monthly forecasting for assigned customer(s), ensuring timely communication to Finance Partner on any deviations from forecast.

    • Guides and leads the FSP Delivery team through defining a framework for governance and oversight for optimal service delivery to time and quality.

    • In partnership with Business Development, drives partnership expansion of FSP service lines by influencing internal and external stakeholder engagement, connecting subject matter experts and ensuring excellent FSP service delivery to contract terms and P and L.

    • Leads RFIs, RFPs, and BDM opportunities from a Clinical FSP Delivery perspective, working closely with Business Development, Proposals and other internal stakeholders.

    • Manages the work and execution of members of the FSP customer delivery team.

    • Supports and/or leads departments level initiatives including but not limited to clinical FSP strategy execution, new offering development, process improvement, etc.

    • Other duties as needed or assigned.

    Qualifications (Minimum Required):

    • Bachelor’s degree – Life Sciences and/or Business Management.

    • Fluent in English, both written and verbal.

    • Fortrea may consider relevant and equivalent experience in lieu of educational requirements.

    Experience (Minimum Required):

    • 10 years’ relevant industry experience (CRO/Pharmaceutical); or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

    • Minimum of five (5) years supervisory experience in a health care or clinical research setting.

    • Thorough knowledge of drug development process.

    Preferred Qualifications Include:

    • Ability to lead independently global/multiregional FSP partnerships or large and/or complex regional FSP partnership and a team of Senior Managers, Clinical Service Delivery.

    • Proven ability to engage customers in discussions related to expanded partnerships, innovation, portfolio growth, pipeline, etc.

    • Demonstrated strong executive presence and ability to effectively challenge status quo and identify innovative ways to partner.

    • Ability to work independently to create and drive professional and productive relationships both internally and externally.

    • Agile in communication and able to negotiate effectively with customers and internal stakeholders.

    • Excellent leadership skills with a proven ability to lead by example to inspire effective teamwork and to influence and constructively confront within a matrix organization.

    • Problem solver, out of the box thinker with the ability to translate ideas and data into tangible FSP operating models tailored to customer needs.

    • Broad understanding of commercialization, deal terms and conditions associated with various FSP models.

    • Demonstrated business acumen and strategic thinker, with an ability to think analytically to drive solutions.

    • Excellent planning and organizational skills including the skills necessary for implementing corporate change.

    • Excellent oral, written and presentation skills with a proven ability to professionally communicate with customers.

    Physical Demands/Work Environment:

    • Standard office and/or home office based working conditions.

    • Extensive use of telephone and face-to-face communication requiring accurate perception of speech.

    • Frequent long, varied hours.

    • Travel Requirements: Domestic, Regional, Global 20-40% of time, with 80% that requires overnight stay (dependent on role location).

    Office/Home-Based:

    • Work is performed in an office environment with exposure to electrical office equipment.

    • Occasional drives to site locations with occasional travel both domestic and international.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Frequently stationary for 6-8 hours per day.

    • Repetitive hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists.

    • Occasional crouching, stooping, with frequent bending and twisting of upper body and neck.

    • Ability to access and use a variety of computer software developed both in-house and off-the-shelf.

    • Light to moderate lifting and carrying (or otherwise moves) objects including luggage and laptop computer with a maximum lift of 15-20 lbs.

    • Regular and consistent attendance.

    • Varied hours may be required.

    US Based Target Pay Range (based on title): $160-185K
