Our Consulting group at Fortrea is looking for a qualified/passionate candidate for our 100% home-based Research Associate I position. The candidate will assist in project management tasks (timelines, financial management, client correspondence), leading study execution and assists in the development of client deliverables (e.g. protocol and report writing).

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree: at least 2 years’ experience in social science or health care research.

OR

  • Master’s Degree: at least 1 year experience in social science or healthcare research.
  • Fortrea may consider relevant and equivalent experience in lieu of educational requirements.

Experience

  • Basic understanding of research methods and practical knowledge of research
  • Strong communication, organization, analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in various software programs, including Excel, MS Word and PowerPoint preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate and work with peers to accomplish tasks assigned.
  • Excellent command of written and verbal English is essential, as all client deliverables will be in English, and the incumbent will be required to write reports, dossiers and manuscripts to a professional standard

What to Expect

Key Responsibilities

(include but not limited to)

Science

  • Supports the writing of proposals, protocols and reports by conducting internet and literature searches
  • Conducts literatures reviews including data abstraction from scientific articles
  • Conducts and supports site and patient recruitment, IRB submissions, site management and site training
  • Conducts and supports data analysis including qualitative coding and reviewing quantitative data tables

Project Management

  • Effective communication within/outside project team including regular communication with project director and project tasks
  • May attend some client meetings
  • Assists in site and patient recruitment including tracking of patient enrollment and scheduling
  • Conduct and support study start up and close-out activities
  • All other duties as needed or assigned.

Work Environment

  • Work is performed in an office environment with exposure to electrical office equipment.
  • Occasional drives to site locations with occasional travel both domestic and international.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequently stationary for 6-8 hours per day.
  • Repetitive hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists.
  • Occasional crouching, stooping, with frequent bending and twisting of upper body and neck.
  • Ability to access and use a variety of computer software developed both in-house and off-the-shelf.
  • Light to moderate lifting and carrying (or otherwise moves) objects including luggage and laptop computer with a maximum lift of 15-20 lbs.
  • Regular and consistent attendance.
  • Varied hours may be required.

The salary range for this position is USD $65,000 to $72,000 year.

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data. Regular, full-time or part-time employees working 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(K), Paid time off (PTO) or Flexible time off (FTO), Company bonus where applicable.
