Position Purpose
The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for developing and executing effective recruitment strategies to ensure the Reidsville manufacturing plant and Farmina North America is staffed with high-quality, reliable team members across all departments and shifts. This role directly supports plant operations and field positions by building strong pipelines for hourly and salaried production, maintenance, quality, and warehouse roles, and field roles such as sales and marketing. The Talent Acquisition Specialist strengthens Farmina’s employer brand, drives an exceptional candidate experience, and partners with plant leadership to support a stable, high-performing workforce that aligns with Farmina’s culture, values, and growth plans.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent experience accepted.
- 2+ years of recruitment or HR experience (manufacturing or high-volume hiring strongly preferred).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with candidates and internal customers.
- Experience using an ATS and HR systems; ability to create reports and track metrics.
- Knowledge of federal and North Carolina employment laws.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

- Must be willing to work beyond the scheduled 9 to 5, weekends and different shifts as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Recruiting & Hiring
- Manage full-cycle recruiting for hourly and select salaried positions, including job postings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer coordination.
- Develop proactive talent pipelines for high-volume positions such as production, packaging, warehouse, and maintenance technicians.
- Conduct in-person and Google Meets interviews, organize interview schedules, and assist with pre-employment processes (drug screens, background checks, onboarding paperwork).
- Attend and coordinate local job fairs, and community workforce events.
- Utilize applicant tracking systems (ATS) to manage workflows, maintain candidate data integrity, and ensure timely communication with all applicants.
Workforce Planning & Stakeholder Partnership
- Partner with plant leadership, department supervisors, and HR to identify hiring needs and staffing priorities for both shifts.
- Participate in weekly workforce planning meetings to review open roles, turnover trends, and recruiting pipeline status.
- Provide hiring managers with guidance on interviewing, selection best practices, and compliance with company policies and employment laws.
Sourcing & Employer Branding
- Execute sourcing strategies using job boards, social media, community partnerships, and local workforce groups (colleges, high schools, veteran programs).
- Promote Farmina as an employer of choice through consistent messaging, plant tours, and community presence.
- Recommend creative solutions for attracting quality applicants in a competitive labor market.
Onboarding & New-Hire Experience
- Coordinate new-hire orientation and onboarding activities to ensure a smooth transition into plant roles.
- Support employee engagement initiatives to improve retention for first-year employees.
Compliance & Recordkeeping
- Ensure recruiting processes comply with EEO, ADA, and all federal/state employment laws.
- Maintain organized documentation for audits and compliance reporting.
