Position Summary
The Manager, Maintenance Planning is responsible for leading the Maintenance support group. Duties include work record scheduling, shutdown planning, MRO storeroom team supervision, and CMMS team supervision.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage and design plans and programs for routine preventative maintenance and scheduled downtime events at the manufacturing facility
- Provide oversight of spare parts management
- Ensures critical system spare parts availability through asset criticality assessments
- Identifies opportunities to improve CMMS processes, recommends changes, performs implementation, and drives procedural changes
- Develops schedules to ensure monthly work is complete on-time
- Coordinates work with internal work-streams and external vendors
- Assigns preventive and corrective maintenance records
- Tracks and reports open and past due work
- Monitors work record lifecycle, communicating status to assigned personnel and management
- Oversee Non Conformance Report (NCR) process for maintenance related items
- Performs schedule and event creation in CMMS
- Partners with quality for change control requirements
- Tracks and communicates Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
- Creates and updates maintenance documents in the Documentation Management System
- Coordinates preventive maintenance shutdowns
- Provides reports and uses reporting tools for work order and inventory analysis graphs
- Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned
Education Requirements
- Associates degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, experience and training.
Experience Requirements
- Five (5) years’ experience in Maintenance Planning
- General knowledge of asset management, work record, and spare part processes
- General knowledge of Preventive Maintenance
- Knowledge of CMMS systems, preferably Blue Mountain Regulatory Asset Management
- Knowledge of report writing and work record analysis
- Data trending and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Good computer skills required.
- Ability to effectively communicate
- Must be flexible to work multiple shifts (Day, Swing, Nights) including weekends
- Must have a solid understanding of cGMP
