FUNCTION: CFO
LOCATION: Cary, North Carolina

GET TO KNOW YOUR AREA:
- Responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with Accounting Standards across North America Region and drive efficiency of accounting processes. Provide leadership and career development for the NA accounting team.
YOUR MISSION WILL BE TO:
- Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements and other financial reports. Establish strong business partnerships with cross-functional teams and be seen as the NA region’s technical expert in accounting matters. Provide guidance on accounting related topics to internal stakeholders based on IFRS.
- Act as first point for NA controlling function as it relates to Corporate Controllership, Global FP&A and NA commercial team. Provide guidance ensuring compliance with IFRS and internal guidelines. Accountable for closing on North America financial statements on monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
- Manage all monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities and the preparation of NA financial statements in accordance with IFRS and corporate policies
- Perform balance sheet and P&L review and account reconciliations. Identify trends, variances and areas requiring attention. Investigate and resolve discrepancies on timely basis.
- Lead and develop accounting controls and processes for the region, to facilitate Company’s strategy and M&A.
- Ensure NA accounting activities and reporting align with legal, regulatory, and Company procedures and policies
- Oversee annual audit processes, quarterly reviews, and preparation of audited financials for NA Region. Coordinate and facilitate both internal and external audits providing necessary documentation and support to the auditors. In addition, this role is accountable for the audit process with Envu’s lenders in the US.
- Process improvement: continuously evaluate and enhance accounting processes and systems to improve efficiency, reliability and internal controls
- Support due diligence and integration of acquisitions for NA region
- Lead and develop NA assistant controller and the controlling team
ARE YOU READY FOR THE ROLE?
Main requirements:
- CPA or master’s degree in accounting and finance
- Proven experience 15+ years in Audit and Accounting, combination of public accounting and industry required, including managing teams for 7+ years
- Proven knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP and SoX internal controls
- Hands-on with strong problem-solving skills and keen attention to details. Able to think creatively and big picture to solve complex problems in accordance with IFRS/US GAAP. Deep technical expertise (IFRS/US GAAP), with experience in the life sciences and M&A
- Proven experiences in writting accounting memos and accounting positions for complex transactions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proven experience in motivating and influencing others in an international, matrixed organization.
- Adaptability and capable of working in a fast-moving, ever changing environment.
- Driven to simplify/standardize and automate finance & accounting processes and able to drive process stand ups and improvements in accounting operations
- Preferred experience with Microsoft Dynamics and Onestream or other account reconciliation tools
