FUNCTION: CFO

LOCATION: Cary, North Carolina

TYPE: Permanent

Role Seniority: Non-Managerial

GET TO KNOW YOUR AREA:

• Responsible for improving the Cash Application process across North American region business in relationship with the outsourced partners and credit management team.

YOUR MISSION WILL BE TO:

• Cash application: Monitor bank bridging accounts and customer accounts. Ensure incoming payments and/or credit notes (for returns/rebates/commissions) are applied timely and correctly to outstanding invoices. Provide guidance and validation to outsourced partner.
• Work with credit management to define cash application rules. Provide guidance to outsourced partner for implementation in Accounting system and ensure rules are adequately applied.
• Work with different stakeholders (outsourced partner and Envu Accounting) to ensure correction of wrong postings between AR and Customers AP.
• Reconciliation: Implement periodic reconciliation process of cash application transactions. Coordinate with the outsourced partner to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to cash application transactions.
• Audit: Support Group and local audits by providing timely analysis and documentation pertaining to cash application as well as maintaining records necessary for quarterly and yearly audit requirements.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, cash application policies
• Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and accuracy in cash application operations and recommend improvements. Represent the region in Envu global projects.
• Provide support to treasury for journal entries as part of the AR factoring process.
• Provide support and assistance to the NA credit and collections team to reduce unapplied cash on customer accounts.
• Conduct necessary reporting as needed to support month end closing processes.
• Ad hoc analysis to support accounting processes

ARE YOU READY FOR THE ROLE?

Main requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience (3 - 5 years) cash application area with experience in working alongside with outsourced partners.
• Strong knowledge of cash application processes, regulations and best practices.
• Experience in accounts receivable is a plus
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in analysis.
• Hands-on with strong problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics D365 accounting software and HighRadius.
• Adaptability and willingness to take on new challenges, as needed in a start-up environment.
• Fluent in English
