DNAli produces custom, chemically modified DNA for diagnostics, therapeutics, and advanced research applications. Our innovative platform enables the creation of modified DNA variations, far exceeding the limitations of existing technologies. This flexibility unlocks new experimental possibilities, accelerates discoveries, and amplifies the impact of scientific and medical breakthroughs.
In this internship, you’ll work closely with the founding team to help shape our product by planning and conducting customer interviews, turning feedback into product specs, researching markets and competitors, and refining pitch slides. Depending on background and interest, there’s also potential to support wet-lab experiments and process testing. This is a hands-on role at the intersection of product, science, and business.
Qualifications:
Currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate student in business, economics, entrepreneurship, engineering, biology, bioengineering, or a related field
Interest in product development, commercialization, or business strategy within a science- or technology-driven startup
Ability to translate complex or technical concepts into clear customer, product, or market insights
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with comfort working on ambiguous, open-ended problems
This program is funded through the North Carolina Biotechnology Center's Industrial Internship Program. IIP internships are designed to be spring/summer internships with specific dates/hours to be determined by company needs and candidate availability.
