Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.
Purpose of Position: The Temporary EHS Associate will support continuous safety
and environmental improvements in all TCP process areas. Improvement
opportunities may originate from OTIS and iKaizen submissions, Gemba walk
feedback, injury and near-miss data, audit findings, and other sources. Lead efforts to
implement these improvements by engaging all relevant stakeholder. This
a Temporary position lasting 6 months.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- This a Temporary position lasting 6 months.
- Monitor OTIS and iKaizen submissions and ensure project completion.
- Track feedback from Gemba walks and audits, supporting action plans.
- Use injury and near-miss data to prioritize improvement projects.
- Partner with the Occupational Health Nurse to promote employee wellness
initiatives. - Collaborate with Onsite Work Solutions to identify ergonomic challenges and
opportunities for improvement. - Actively participate in Operational Learning Teams across the plant.
- Serve on the Safety Steering Team.
- Conduct inspections for hazardous and non-regulated waste, recycling, and
flammable cabinets, implementing updates and improvements as necessary. - Maintain inventories for flammable cabinets.
- Support 5S initiatives to enhance workplace organization and layout.
Education Requirements and Experience:
- High School or General Education Diploma (GED).
- 6+ months of experience at Trivium Cable Plant.
- Strong knowledge of the manufacturing processes.

The range for this position is $21.50 hourly rate - $26.25 hourly rate. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
