Overview

The primary purpose of this position is to perform calibration activities in support of manufacturing and inspection functions.

Responsibilities

- Perform calibrations on all measurement devices used in the production and inspection of COOK Endoscopy devices.
- Maintain and review calibration system and documentation for compliance with FDA, cGMP and ISO 13485 requirements.
- Repair/replace damaged equipment as needed.
- Perform metrology training for Production and Inspection employees as necessary.
- Perform other duties as required
- Responsible for ensuring that calibrations and product testing are performed in a timely manner.

• Maintain regular and punctual attendance
• Must maintain company quality and quantity standards
• Must have effective oral and written communication skills
• Excellent problem solving skills and ability to work in collaborative and independent work situations and environments with minimal supervision
• Ability to remain calm and receptive in fast paced situations
- Ability to read/write/understand product documentation, and written instructions.
- Access to confidential controlled documentation, processes and equipment.

Qualifications

- High School Diploma or GED required.
• Working knowledge of programmable controllers
• Familiarity with and working knowledge of equipment and machines within all areas
• Strong mechanical background
• Working knowledge of various hand tools

• Experience with computers, data entry and Microsoft Office
• Must have knowledge or aptitude in the following areas:
Electricity/Electronics
Machinery repair
Reading, understanding and drawing prints and schematics
Record keeping

Physical Requirements:

- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations
- Excellent manual dexterity.
- Work is performed in a manufacturing environment requiring moving to various departments to perform calibrations.
