About the Role:

The Part Time HR Generalist plays a crucial role in supporting the human resources functions within the organization by managing a variety of HR tasks on a part-time basis. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies while fostering a positive work environment. The HR Generalist will handle employee relations, recruitment support, benefits administration, and performance management processes. By effectively coordinating these activities, the role contributes to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the HR department. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted resource for employees and management, helping to resolve issues and promote organizational goals.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a human resources role, preferably as a generalist.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices applicable in the United States.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with HR information systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a part-time or flexible HR role.
  • Familiarity with HRIS software such as Workday, ADP, or BambooHR.
  • Experience in employee relations and conflict resolution.
  • Knowledge of benefits administration and payroll processes.
  • Experience with performance reviews and gathering data

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with recruitment efforts including posting job openings, screening resumes, and coordinating interviews.
  • Support onboarding processes for new hires to ensure a smooth integration into the company.
  • Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Administer employee benefits programs and respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits and policies.
  • Facilitate communication between employees and management to address workplace concerns and promote positive employee relations.
  • Assist in performance management processes including tracking evaluations and providing guidance on performance improvement.
  • Support HR projects and initiatives as needed to improve HR processes and employee engagement.
