The Proposal Lead is responsible for supporting various Business Development teams through scoping, writing, issuing and management of proposals for new and existing customer opportunities, along with pipeline, tech services and QARs. In addition, the Proposal Lead will write commercial pricing proposals as needed. This position is accountable for the contract proposal writing and pricing of proposals. This position serves as a liaison between the Business Development Groups and Product Development and other site teams that are involved in scoping, reviewing and approving proposals as needed.
Position Summary
This position is 100% on-site at the Greenville site.
Catalent’s Greenville, N.C. facility specializes in end-to-end turn-key solutions for oral solid dosage forms, including integrated formulation development, analytical services, commercial manufacturing, and packaging. This state-of-the-art facility has had over $100M of investments in recent years and features fit-for-scale capacity with potent handling capabilities, ideal for orphan or targeted drug development.
This role will directly support Catalent’s Greenville, N.C. facility by contributing to the development and validation of analytical methods essential for oral solid dosage formulation and manufacturing. It ensures data integrity, regulatory compliance, and efficient workflows across integrated analytical services, helping deliver high-quality, patient-friendly drug products.
The Role
- Prepare development, tech transfer and pipeline proposals related to customer activities within Catalent facilities. Examples would be an early phase product development proposal or a proposal to change a process. Key interactions in this process will include with Business Development, Science and Technology (S&T), Product Development (PD), Analytical Services, and the site management as applicable. 
- Responsible for designing and managing proposals for the site. 
- Process requests for company codes and proposal numbers. 
- Interact with various internal groups such as legal, business development, S&T, PD, Analytical, Quality, and project management for necessary information for the completion of quotes and QARs. 
- Collaborating as necessary with other Catalent sites to ensure the established project timelines and deliverables are progressing per agreement. 
- Ensuring that project quotes are within scope and up to date. 
- Manage timelines of proposal development, and assure that documents are complete, accurate, and sent on time. 
- All other duties as assigned. 
The Candidate
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant science or engineering discipline required. 
- 2+ years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical, medical device or food manufacturing, with experience in quality, technical project management, business management and/or business development required. 
- Relevant industry knowledge of drug product development and/or consumer product development, analytical research and development, project scale-up, product manufacturing, quality, validations, and regulatory. 
- Analytical, financial skills, business acumen. 
- Superior customer services skills and professional demeanor. 
- Individual needs to be accessible to manufacturing floor and office staff and to use required office equipment. Specific vision requirements include reading of written documents and use of computer monitor screen frequently.
