The Director of Marketing role provides critical leadership and creates and directs the commercial execution of all marketing programs for the U.S. Knee Osteoarthritis business. This individual will be responsible for all downstream (go-to-market execution, demand generation and sales enablement) activities.What you will do:
- Spearhead development and execution of effective strategic marketing plans for all product and market segments for KOA (currently PRP, HA)
- Develop a compelling value proposition for our portfolio and translate those into tangible tools and support materials for our sales, training and corporate accounts teams in order to create value and drive market demand and awareness. Own the collateral development process from start to finish, liaising with Creative Services, Compliance, Legal, Regulatory and Medical & Clinical Affairs teams and working through the internal approval processes.
- Map and ensure alignment of our compelling value proposition in light of the customer journey for PRP
- Monitor, track, and incorporate competitive insights and strategic intent
- Commercial launch plan development and ensure continuity is maintained for all new products being introduced
- Lead US KOL strategy and development of relationships with industry thought leaders. Engage and develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders and customers at trade shows and events while representing the KOA division.
- Cross-functional collaboration to develop and integrate marketing messaging; to update demand forecasts; and to drive coordination of strategic intent and communications
- Drive actions to support attainment of financial goals: revenue growth, market share, operating margin, and sales plan commitments
- Drives the medical education strategy for physicians and sales professionals, in partnership with Training & Med Ed/Prof Ed Departments. Ensures resources are deployed in an effective, efficient and responsible manner to achieve the overall market adoption of our products
- Holds oneself and others accountable to conduct business in a manner compliant with Bioventus’ Code of Compliance and Ethics, policies and procedures and internal controls applicable to their role.
- Attract, develop and retain talent. Ensure focus and alignment with functional and company goals. Provide employees with continuous feedback and coaching using talent-and-performance management tools.
- Develop and track performance metrics and report on trends and insights with solutions
- Other duties as assigned.
What you bring to the table:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or Finance required. MBA preferred.
- Minimum 10 years’ Medical Device Marketing and Sales Leadership or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience launching multiple products in the medical device space, experience in Orthopedics or Sports Medicine is preferred
- Ability to travel domestically at minimum 25% of the time
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Competent use of MS Office and other applications as required
