The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for providing entry level HR support of the employee experience throughout the employment life cycle. In addition, this position provides support to the HR Business Partners (HRBPs) on special projects and employee focused initiatives.

What you'll be doing

• Responsible for the new hire onboarding process. Partners with HRBPs, Talent Acquisition and hiring managers to ensure a smooth handover from the recruitment process through the employees first 90 days. Ensures selected candidates are properly hired and ready to start in Workday and partners with other key functions and colleagues to coordinate an effective day one and beyond.

• Provide front-line support to employees requesting information regarding company, benefits, employment opportunities, company policies and procedures. Responds to basic level questions and provides a warm handover for all other requests to the appropriate HR colleague.

• Ensures HR compliance in processing all new hire documentation including, but not limited to proper completion of I-9’s, background checks, drug screens, signed job descriptions and ensuring proper training is assigned and completed. Follows-up with hiring managers, as needed, to ensure timely approval in Workday.

• Ensures appropriate approval of and enters all one-time payments such as relocation payments, sign-on bonuses, special awards, etc.

• Supports the HRBPs with the exit process for departing employees by conducting exit interviews and processing termination through HRIS system to ensure a smooth exit from the organization.

• Initiates and ensure compliance with purchase order process for the functional area.

• Provides assistance to the team in preparing for and conducting sessions for talent management, performance management, and other company processes.

• Monitors the HR Team mailbox for employee inquiries, contingent worker requests and other requests from hiring managers.

• Maintain employee and other HR related files

• Holds oneself and others accountable to conduct business in a manner compliant with Bioventus’ Code of Compliance and Ethics, policies and procedures and internal controls applicable to their role. Other duties and projects as assigned.

What you'll bring to the table

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or Business preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2 years prior HR or general business experience and/or internships
• Previous experience in Workday or a similar HRIS system strongly preferred
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and understanding the importance of compliance
• Working knowledge of basic software packages including MS Office
• Customer focused and results driven
