About This Role
As a Principal IT Portfolio Analyst (Financial Management), you will play a crucial role in managing financial and sourcing support processes for the Infrastructure & Operations (I&O) organization. You will collaborate with I&O team members to support financial management, analysis, and planning. You will also oversee sourcing support activities to ensure necessary goods and services are acquired on a timely basis. Your contributions will be vital in enhancing the I&O organization's efficiency and cost-effectiveness, bringing significant value to the business. The role reports into the Head of Infrastructure Management Operations.
What You’ll Do
Manage I&O financial processes to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Oversee monthly accruals and review them for thoroughness and correctness.
Support monthly forecasting by analyzing actuals and providing variance analysis for assigned cost centers.
Collaborate with budget owners to update forecasts based on analysis.
Identify cost savings opportunities.
Track renewals and new purchases in the I&O contract database and update accordingly.
Ensure that contract owners are made aware of upcoming renewals and work with them to track contract changes in the contract database, and update their budgets accordingly.
Serve as the centralized owner for requesting purchase requisitions.
Conduct training sessions on financial and sourcing processes as required.
Participate in IT Management Office (ITMO) forums and initiatives as appropriate.
Who You Are
You are detail-oriented with exceptional analytical skills, able to uncover insights and solve complex problems. Your ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing allows you to collaborate seamlessly with various stakeholders. You possess a strong aptitude for financial processes and demonstrate an eagerness to support and guide team members through them. Your proactive nature and commitment to accuracy enable you to drive efficiency in financial and sourcing operations.
Required Skills
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent combination of work experience and education
5+ years of experience in Accounting/Finance.
Strong analytical skills with an aptitude for problem-solving.
Experience with forecasting and budgeting at a cost center level.
Advanced experience in MS Excel.
Attention to detail.
Strong verbal, written and presentation communication skills.
Additional Information
Base salary offered is determined through an analytical approach utilizing a combination of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills & experience, job location, and internal equity.
