Senior Manager, North America Commercial Data Strategy & Insights
The Senior Manager, Commercial Data Strategy & Insights is a key member of the North American Operations team, responsible for executing data governance, reporting, and analytics activities as the point person for commercial analytics for the US and Canada. The role ensures the integrity and accessibility of Commercial Operations data, translates insights into business value, and partners closely with our omnichannel team to connect insights to engagement strategy and measurement. The Senior Manager also supports forecasting and demand planning as a contributor and provides guidance across sales operations where analytical input is required.
Your Responsibilities
Analytics & Insights
- Lead delivery of insights and reporting across NA Commercial Operations, including:
- Drug distribution, prescription, claims, and payer datasets
- Ex-factory and 3PL partner data
- 3PL chargeback data
- Omnichannel engagement data (CRM, digital marketing, campaign performance, field interactions)
- Oversee dashboards and self-service BI tools, ensuring stakeholders across US and Canadian commercial teams have access to timely, reliable insights
- Prepare business review and performance materials for executive leadership
- Manage technical analysts in building and evolving reporting tools, pipelines, and data validation processes
- Partner with Sales Operations to support the data needs of North American sales structures while maintaining focus on analytics and insights
- Collaborate with the internal omnichannel team to define campaign KPIs, measure ROI, and ensure insights are fed back into engagement design
Data Governance & Management
- Own functional management of wholesaler chargeback allocation processes
- Oversee integration of drug distribution & prescription (DDD/MD, TSA, Xponent) data for all marketed NA products into the enterprise data warehouse
- Serve as execution lead for NA operational data strategy, including:
- Implementation of revenue operations best practices
- CRM and sales enablement tools
- Marketing data and analytics operations
- Provide analyses leveraging claims data to support Infectious Disease team payer insights
- Ensure compliance with data privacy and residency requirements (US/CAN vs. EU) in coordination with the head of NA Operations
Sales Operations Support
- Provide guidance on territory alignments and periodic refreshes for new customers
- Develop, maintain, and optimize best practice insights for incentive compensation (IC) management in partnership with Sales Operations
Forecasting Support
- Contribute analytical inputs and data validation to forecasting and demand planning processes led by Finance and Supply Chain, ensuring Commercial Operations alignment
Skills & Requirements:
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, ideally including commercial operations, analytics, or data management roles
- Deep expertise with IQVIA datasets and their practical application in commercial analytics is required
- Experience coordinating with marketing and omnichannel functions is strongly preferred
- Experience in vaccines preferred; broader pharmaceutical commercial data experience required
- Experience working with managed markets, payer strategy, pricing, contracting, reimbursement, or related fields is preferred
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred in business, data analytics, statistics, computer science, or a related field
Technical Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
- Strong skills in SQL; ability to extract and manipulate large datasets
- Experience working in cloud-based data environments (e.g., AWS) is a plus
- Experience with omnichannel engagement platforms, metrics, and campaign performance data is strongly preferred

- Exceptional problem-solving abilities, with skill in balancing multiple priorities and applying structured problem solving in evolving, data-limited environments
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple functions and levels of the organization
- Ability to lead a team of technical analysts and translate technical work into business insights
- Strong ability to generate customer-centric insights that inform omnichannel engagement strategies

Salary Range - $140k - $220k
Location: US Remote; US Headquarters is in Durham, NC
