The Grow@BASF Internship Program gives undergraduate students the opportunity to apply what they are learning in the classroom to meaningful, real-world assignments while developing both technical and professional skills.

BASF's Grow@BASF internship programs were created to provide highly motivated, mobile-minded university students with opportunities to enhance their professional skills through diverse learning experiences.

As an Engineering intern, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced BASF professionals on projects that support our operations, processes, technologies and business needs. You'll gain hands-on experience while applying engineering principles in a real-world environment.

Program Summary:

As a highly motivated undergraduate student, you will participate in a 12-week summer internship working alongside a mentor and BASF engineering and cross-functional teams.

Depending on your assignment, your experience may include:

• Supporting engineering projects and day-to-day technical activities.
• Applying engineering principles to real-world projects, processes and operational challenges.
• Collecting, organizing and analyzing technical or operational data.
• Identifying opportunities for process, productivity, quality or efficiency improvements.
• Assisting with the development, evaluation and implementation of engineering solutions.
• Supporting project planning, documentation and technical reporting.
• Collaborating with engineers and cross-functional teams across BASF.
• Participating in safety, operational and project-related activities.
• Developing presentations, recommendations and other project deliverables.
• Building technical, analytical, problem-solving and communication skills through hands-on assignments.

Mobility is important for this program

Internship assignments may be located in a variety of locations throughout the United States, including BASF's North American headquarters in the Raleigh, NC area.

Throughout the summer, interns will receive ongoing feedback, mentorship and professional development opportunities. Interns will be assessed for potential future opportunities, which may include a returning internship or, where applicable, a full-time opportunity within one of BASF's Professional Development rotational programs.
