We are looking for a Regulatory Affairs Manager to join our Agricultural Solutions team in Research Triangle Park, NC, preferred. The option for a remote US role could also be available.

As a Regulatory Affairs Manager, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of strategies to achieve U.S. registration of pesticide products as well as representing BASF by participating in regulatory-related industry meetings/committees.
We are seeking a professional like you to independently manage regulatory projects and lead the development and implementation of regulatory strategies required to obtain, defend, and maintain our active ingredient and product registrations. This role provides regulatory support for scientific, regulatory affairs, and policy-related topics to address regulatory issues impacting current and future registrations in our Crop Protection, Professional & Specialty Solutions, Seed Treatment, and/or Biologicals portfolios.
As a Regulatory Affairs Manager, you create chemistry by...
- Creating regulatory dossier submissions for the U.S. EPA and international authorities following globally harmonized guidelines, and providing regulatory support to internal teams, customers, and sub-registrants.
- Developing and implementing strategies to secure U.S. registrations and supporting global pesticidal product registrations.
- Demonstrating negotiation and engagement skills in EPA regulatory matters by interacting with industry and agency groups, presenting persuasive arguments for timely registrations, and aligning internal stakeholders on regulatory strategies.
- Utilizing strong organizational and project-management skills to lead cross-functional teams that generate data for North American registration, coordinate new active-ingredient development, plan new end-use products, and expand or re-register existing registrations for additional use sites.
If you...
- Hold a PhD in agriculture field or related scientific discipline with 3+ years’ experience in the pesticide industry, preferably with pesticide registration; or MS degree in agriculture or related scientific discipline with 6+ years’ experience in the pesticide industry, preferably with pesticide registration; or BA/BS degree in agriculture or related scientific discipline with 8+ years’ experience in the pesticide industry, with minimum 3 years’ experience in pesticide registration and/or regulatory affairs.
- Possess working knowledge of FIFRA and a proven track record of U.S. EPA pesticide product registrations.
- Have developed regulatory strategies to obtain, maintain, and defend active ingredient and product registrations with federal and state authorities.
- Can participate effectively in multi-company task forces and industry trade-association committees.
- Can communicate and negotiate persuasively with internal stakeholders, regulatory authorities, and NGOs.
- Are able to travel up to 10%, domestically.

Pay transparency
BASF is committed to pay transparency practices. The competitive Pay Range for this role is $105,600 - $145,200. Actual pay will be determined based on education, certifications, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
