The Professional Development Program Experience
Accelerate your career in an early career role with BASF Agricultural Solutions. BASF’s Professional Development Programs (PDPs) offer driven, mobile-minded university graduates the opportunity to kickstart their careers through immersive, real-world experiences. Participants rotate through diverse roles within our business, gaining hands-on exposure to cross-functional teams and business challenges. The program is designed to build professional skills, foster meaningful connections, and provide a holistic view of BASF’s operations through mentoring, executive engagement, site tours, and training seminars.
Throughout the program, participants develop a strong foundation in BASF’s systems and processes while building networks and exploring their career interests. With structured support and a focus on growth, the PDP experience empowers individuals to solve complex problems and contribute to impactful work at the world’s largest chemical company. Upon successful completion, participants may be considered for direct placement into roles across related disciplines to their specific program.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Sales & Marketing Program Summary
As a highly motivated upcoming graduate, you will participate in a 18-month cross-functional program with two rotations within the Agricultural Solutions business. The first rotation is at our headquarters in Research Triangle Park, NC focused on marketing and sales support. The second rotation is focused on sales, with a location to be determined during the program based on business need.
Successfully engaging across the business, your rotations will expand your network, allow you to grow personally and professionally, and develop your business acumen skills to become a competitive candidate for sales roles upon your completion of the program.
As a Sales & Marketing program participant, you will:
- Work on two unique assignments that support marketing, sales, and sales support related areas in two different locations. Rotational projects may include brand management, product launch support, data analysis, technical services support, business operations, account management, and customer experience.
- Grow your technical expertise related to marketing, sales, and our products, and expand your skills in new areas.
- Collaborate with diverse teams to develop innovative solutions to support the agricultural industry.
- Receive technical training, mentorship, and coaching from experienced team members and managers.
- Participate in leadership development training that enhances professional and entrepreneurial skills.
- Share functional accomplishments internally and externally through presentations and written reports.
WHAT YOU OFFER
- Have completed a Bachelor’s degree program within 12 months of your date of hire, preferably in marketing, sales, management, or other business-related disciplines (graduating between December 2025-May 2026).
- Are authorized to work in the U.S. now and in the future without restrictions or need for future sponsorship.

- Are interested in relationship building and sales careers in the agriculture industry.
- Are self-driven and thrive in collaborative environments, even when working with geographically dispersed teams.
